KATRINA'S SMOKY EYE LOOK FROM DAY ONE OF CANNES 2015
Thursday May 14, 2015Cannes 2015 is finally here, and we're excited, exhilarated, and all sorts of ecstatic! This year, Cannes has its usual suspects attending, viz. Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor; but, there's an addition that makes it a little extra special this year. That addition is none other than L'Oral's newest ambassador, the stunning Katrina Kaif, who will be walking the Cannes red carpet alongside L'Oreal veterans Aishwarya and Sonam!
What's even more exciting is that although this is Katrina's first ever brush with the French Riviera and the acclaimed Cannes Film Festival, she had the privilege of opening the film festival this year by walking the red carpet on day one itself! For this special occasion, Katrina wore a breath-taking black Oscar de la Renta lace gown with floral applique work on the trail, which she accessorised with diamond danglers and a bracelet, both by Chopard. The statuesque beauty paired her elegant gown with glamorous pink glossy makeup and left her lush hair down in soft waves. If you're completely and totally enchanted by Katrina's Cannes Day 1 beauty look, here's a step-by-step guide to go about achieving it:
GET THE LOOK
Step 1: To get Katrina's flawless radiant complexion, start by applying a liquid foundation to your face. Dot the product on your forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin, and blend it evenly and thoroughly into your complexion. Once you've finished with that, infuse a dash of colour into your cheeks by brushing on Lucent Magique Blush in Paradise Coral. GTL Tip: When applying the blush, work your brush in the shape of the number three to the apple of your cheek.
Step 2: Now, it's time to work magic with your eyes. To get Katrina's smoky eye look, start by sweeping a lighter shade of the Les Ombres eye shadow palette in Midnight Rose across your eyelids. Using a darker shade, colour in the outer one third of your eyelid, merging it with the lighter shade, and also dust some onto your waterline for added intensity. This done, take your trusty Super Liner Gel Intenza in Profound Black and swipe a neat line along your upper lash line for definition. Finish the dramatic look by applying at least two coats of Volume Million Lashes Mascara - start by applying it at the root of your lashes and work your way to the tip, wriggling the brush back and forth twice over.
Step 3: Paint a generous amount of Color Riche L'Extraordinaire's lipstick in Rose Melody onto your lips to get Katrina's glossy pink pout.
Step 4: Finish the look by colouring you hair with Casting Cr?me Gloss in #316 Burgundy and leave your hair down in loose waves. Sweep it over one shoulder, pinning it in place, and show off your pretty sparklers!
