Chapter 63

Pregnancy brings in a lot of change Pratap was learning slowly as his wife who hated the cold had blasted the air conditioner turning the room into Antarctica as she was feeling way to hot so here he was wearing thermals in the summer months trying to comfort his wife who was unable to fall asleep

Ajabde: Do something I just want to sleep but I can't

Pratap: close your eyes and then sleep will find you

Ajabde gave him the look so he placed his hand on her belly trying to calm both the baby and the mother when she made her demand

Ajabde: tell me a story

Pratap: huh?

Ajabde: Story - a good one and it has to have a horse

Pratap: Alright once there was a handsome dashing young prince who had a horse

Ajabde: white- white horse. I love white horses. Do you think we can have a horse at our place? Maybe a stable

Pratap shook his head: Listen to the story...as she looked up at him to say something he just stared back at her making her smile innocently at him

So were we - a handsome dashing prince with a white horse was walking back to his home where his princess waited for him and before he could continue further Ajabde had fallen asleep

On the other hand Chakrapani was staring at his wife who was sleeping comfortably in the middle of the bed that led to no room for him and it was a queen size bed

Chakri (in thoughts): I know I was wrong in my attitude but that does not mean she would kick me out of the bed

Chakri decided to sleep on the bed somehow managed to lay down on a side after much movements that woke Subho who looked at her husband.

Subho: What are you doing? We are trying to sleep here you know

Chakri: My apologies to her highness and would be highness (he lays his hand on the belly) this poor servant of yours was just trying to make some room to sleep on this really comfortable bed instead of sleeping on that couch

Subho was shocked seeing her husband touch her belly and actually talk to the baby - in a way he was accepting everything - she was confused that led to tears welling up in her eyes

Chakri: hey what's wrong?

Subho: You- you are confusing me with your actions and words Mr Chakrapani Mishra - sometimes you ignore me like I don't exist - sometimes you converse with me like I'm some sort of business colleague - lately I was a criminal and now you are acting like you are my husband - its confusing (tears spilled over)

Chakri: You are my wife and I'm your husband. I know things have been a bit rough but that does not mean I don't love you I was just trying to figure my own feelings out and I'm so sorry that I hurt you in the process

Subho: Does that mean you won't ignore me anymore

Chakri: No ignoring you anymore and in order to make it up to you I will do everything you ask

Subho (sniffling): everything

Chakri: Everything

Then Subho gave her dazzling smile and pulled him closer to her as she fell asleep in her husband's embrace while Chakri was thinking the ways his wife was about to torture him for agreeing to do everything
