CHAPTER - 4
*****
Raghav slowly walked outside his room and looked down at the living room from the stairs. It was being decorated. Flowers, lights and all that bling. He was amused to see that. He wondered what was going to take place there.
But due to his lack of time to think about it, he rushed to complete the thing he had come for. He had come looking for a screwdriver and a place where lots of decoration is going on, one could easily lay his hands on a screwdriver.
He scanned his floor for it but alas, he couldn't find one. He was returning back to his room when he tripped over something. He looked down at the reason of his tripping as a reflex and moved forward.
"Silly screwdriver. Wanted to trip me over." He cursed the screwdriver.
It's only after a while he realised what he tripped over, a screwdriver! It was a screwdriver!
He ran over to it and hurriedly picked it up hiding it beneath his jacket.
He smiled to himself and walked back to his room.
It was indeed a lucky day for him. Maybe, he's free from all this now. Or maybe not.

Kalpana receives the call which she had been waiting for.
Kalpana's side of call record-
"Hello."
"Yes."
"What?!! How!!"
"Are you sure?"
"Have you checked it yourself?"
"Umm.. okay. I'll talk to you later. Thank you officer."
She sank back into her cabin chair after the call was ended, she still couldn't believe what all she heard.
But she had too because that was the truth, at least in her eyes.
A tear escaped her eyes when she came to the realisation that Raghav was no more, he had left everyone in this world. That he didn't miss their marriage on purpose, he got into a mishap. On one part she was happy that her Raghav didn't deceive her while on the other hand she was breaking down totally. She just couldn't afford to live in a world where Raghav doesn't exist. She was dying from within, suffocated with her regret that she accused Raghav of something that he never did and something for which she would never be able to ask forgiveness for. Her life was in pieces in right now. Her life, Raghav, was out of her sight right now. Or maybe forever.
She broke down in the cabin, crying her heart out, repenting her past actions and missing Raghav with all her soul.
Kalpana had received the call from ACP Dutta whom she had contacted for Raghav's current information.
It was he who told her that on the day of marriage, while coming to the venue, the car got into an accident and fell of the cliff. The ramshackle of the car clearly displayed the tragic incident. The car was identified to be Raghav's personal car which was being driven by Amar, Raghav's driver. The police also recovered a mobile phone from the car which Kalpana identified as Raghav's. Both the bodies could not be found but the car was layered with blood which was sent for testing and the blood samples matched Amar's and Raghav's blood groups. This was enough for Kalpana to believe that Raghav got into an accident and probably died too because the valley is quite deep for anyone to survive such a car accident.
*****
It was almost 10pm and Raghav was waiting for the clock to strike midnight so that he could proceed with his escape plan.
As he was lying on the bed, gazing at the ceiling and reminiscing his beautiful moments with Kalpi, he also felt bad about leaving their marriage hanging midway. But there was nothing he could do. He was helpless at that time.
As he kept on thinking about his life and stuff, Rushali entered the room with a cheerful smile.
"Hey Raghav."
Irritated at the fact that he was disturbed, Raghav wished to snub her but as he had to play good in her eyes, he couldn't do that.
He passed a little smile in return.
She laid the clothing which she carried in her hand on the bed.
It was a beautiful light golden coloured embroidered sherwani.
"Why this?" Raghav questioned with baffled eyes.
"Oh. This? For tomorrow." Rushali replied blushing.
"What is tomorrow?"
"Oh ho Raghav. Don't ask so many questions. You should know when do you wear a sherwani. Get ready at 9 tomorrow. It's an early morning affair. " She said with a smile and left while shutting the door behind her.
Raghav sat silently on the bed still making out the meaning of the words.
"When do you wear a sherwani, Raghav? What does she mean by that?" He mumbled softly to himself.
"We wear traditional in Puja, festivals and on weddin-"
He couldn't complete the sentence as he now understood what she meant. She referred to marriage and it was one hundred percent sure that it was her and Raghav's wedding tomorrow.
Raghav sat with his mouth agape thinking about her recent advances. He couldn't believe that she would think of marrying him so quick. She was indeed impatient. And to save himself, Raghav had to escape the place that too right at the moment.
