Why do the Khans care more about hits then critical acclaim?

Posted: 8 years ago
I am talking about in today's times, not in the past.  😉  It seems like SRK's last five movies haven't been a darling with the critics.  At this stage in his career, he probably doesn't care about critical acclaim.   Hits Hits Hits are more his concern.   🥱 And the same can be said about Salman and Aamir.  Aamir's Dhoom 3 was a stupid movie, but his acting shined as always and PK got mixed reviews from the audience despite it being a superhit.  And Salman's last movie Kick was also targeted at the masses.  And when did he care about critics anyway?  😆  Why do the Khans care more about hits then critical acclaim?  Please share your thoughts.  😲

Hits= $$$$$$$$$$$

But they should focus on good subjects and the movie can still do well.
Happy New Year was a piece of crap.  😕

I don't think this is necessarily true of Aamir Khan. Last few years his choice of scripts have been amazing. So he obviously looks for quality more than anything. And he usually gets good reviews. I think PK had mostly good critical review. The big exception here is D3. Perhaps he does movies like D3 once in a while for the money. If the profits of D3 are big enough to sustain his life style for a while then he can be comfortable taking risks like PK and Dangal.

Salman, we kind of discussed him in another thread. He's not a strong enough performer for a critics movie. So he's doing what works for him, and making loads of money.

SRK is too caught up in wanting to be a star and number 1. He turns his back on good scripts. But even his masala films don't do the trick for him. HNY was a mess and it didn't hit either the critics or box office mark compared to Kick.

To feed their families duh

Also as much people talk non sense its never been proven people pad box office stats. They are undeniable truth . Reviews can vary ...

Also quite honestly look at Box office champ Bachchan vs someone like Balraj Sahni ( W*F is this lol)

😆😆😆 Bachchan made the big hits of his time so thats why is he so revered today . Most people don't know Sahni despite his "acclaim" 😃

The fact that you mention Balraj Sahni should be enough to suggest his critical acclaim.

Could be true . I only knew who he was cause he was on a list they did of best actors a few years back . Still can't name any of his "so called very very acclaimed" movies . So whats that tell you 😆😆😆😆
