Silence... A pin drop silence filled the room...
Ragini shed a tear in the darkness...
She was all alone... Yes, all alone... Her grief was beyond words... Darker than darkness and absolutely nothing could make here heart lighter...
Her children were upset with her... And she had no one to console her... Her poor boy was suffering a long time in jail and her daughter was angry with her marriage... She was a strong woman but this time, nothing could stop her tears... She was angry with herself because she had upset her love... She had been unkind to her children and above all, she had been unkind to her Nachiket...
Another tear trickled down her cheeks...
She missed him so much... He was soon going to leave back to U.S. with his children after she had decided that they would separate...
A song broke the silence... Her phone began ringing...
Saathiya yeh tune kya kiya
Beliya yeh tune kya kiya
Maine kiya, tera intazaar
Itna karo na mujhe pyaar
Her hands shivered as she answered the call... She gathered all her strength to pick up the phone and didn't bother to look at who had called... She was undoubtedly sure that it was him...
"Hello... Kaun?" she asked... Her voice was heavy with sobbing...
"Ragini, woh main bol raha hoon..."
"Nachiket..." she just couldn't help it and broke down...
"Ragini! Sab kuch theek toh hai na?" He began to get worried...
"Nachiket... Mujhse raha nahi jaa raha hai... I need you Nachiket..." she spoke from the bottom of her heart...
"Ragini tumhe kya hua hai? Main abhi aa raha hoon..." He cut the call and left to her place immedietly...
He arrived at her place and saw her crying profusely in the corner of the room... It was past midnight...
She turned around to find him looking at her... Her eyes were red and she needed someone to console her...
He sat down next to her and held her hands and kissed them... Surprisingly, she didn't refuse or move away... He slowly wiped her tears...
"Jaanti ho na? Nahi dekh sakhta tumhe rote hue..." His eyes began to moisten...
She put her head on his shoulder and cried her heart out... Unknowingly, he began to cry too and his tears flowed into her hair...
"Forgive me Ragini." He said... His voice full of guilt...
"Maaf toh maine tumhe bohot pehli hi kar diya tha Nachiket... Par khudko maaf nahi kar paayi main... Main haar gayi... I have failed as a mother Nachiket..."
