I got the idea from the malayalam movie Priyamvadakku Oru prenayaleganam,but i changed the story.
Since this OS series is based on old couples I have chosen a child artist from the old TV soaps.The character Vedika is taken from Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin.
I dedicate this OS to khwaishfan who has been asking me to write on Maaneet for a long time. I want to be your wifeSeeing the lady who came for the job interview Maan Singh Khurana was shocked.He doubted his own eyes' honesty.

She:good morning Sir.I'm Geet Handa.
Flash back...
Maan:Sweta...you are not ready yet?Party must have already started.
Sweta:I'm coming Maan.Have some patience.
Sweta came dressed up with their daughter Vedika.
S:I had to dress up Vedika also.That's why I became late.

Sweta was so excited that she tried to cross the road to reach him.But suddenly a vehcle came her way and hit her.She fell down dead.Vedika screamed:Mummaaa!
Maan screamed:Swetaaa!
After that incident Vedika has'nt spoken.She went into deep depression.

Geet resembled Sweta except the hair.Sweta had curly hair while Geet had straight hair.But Sweta used to iron her hair sometimes which made Maan feel that Geet is the exact copy of Sweta.
Maan interviewed Geet.
M:Miss Geet...Sorry to say that your performance was so bad that you can't be given a job here.
Geet became upset.She pleaded:Please Sir...I will try my level best.For me this job is a necessity.My mom is sick.She is suffering from stroke. I need money for her treatment.
He thought:Her financial level is so bad that she is willing to do anything for money.
M:I will give the best treatment to your mother.Not free.You have to work for me.
Geet was surprised:Sir!
M:But your job is...marry me and be my daughter's mother.
Geet was shocked:Sir!

Finally Geet gave him a node hinting her decision to marry him and Maan admitted her mother in the best hospital.They had court marriage.Maan's Dadimaa Savitri welcomed them.She could'nt believe her eyes.:

Geet took care of Vedika just like Sweta.

Vedika opened her mouth:Mumma!
All were surprised and happy.Geet hugged her:My child!
Maan:Thank you Geet.Because of you my daughter talked after a long time.
G:No need of thanking me.Vedika is my daughter.
Maan felt an unknown happiness hearing that Geet has accepted Vedika as her own daughter.They shared an eye lock.

Unknowingly he cupped her face in his hands.Geet was stunned.She pushed Maan.
Maan came back to his senses.

I came here to be Vedika's mother,not your wife.You are so cheap that you broke your promise that you won't expect anything from me as a wife.
M:I am sorry Geet.I don't know how I touched another lady forgetting my Sweta.
G:I am leaving.I can't stay with a dirty man like you.It's not safe for me.
Maan was shocked:Geet...please no...if you gi Vedika will know that you are not her real mother.

Vedika got admitted in the hospital.The doctor came:It's due to stress that Vedika fainted.Vedika is a kid.Giving tensions and stress is not good for her.Anyways now she is alright.
All were relieved.They went to Vedika.She was crying.Geet hugged her and wiped her tears:Vedika beta...I am your mother.
Savitri came:No need of lying.I told her the truth.It's better to tell her the truth.Otherwise she will come to know the truth from outside and get more wounded.
Geet looked at Vedika tearfully:Vedika beta...I may not be your Sweta mumma who gave birth to you.But it's also true that I am your mother and you are my daughter.I love you that much baby.
Vedika's tears rolled down her cheeks.Maan and Savitri became emotional.
V:If you love me that much why did yiu tell papa that you are leaving the house?
