Last days of life

Today is the worst day in Armaan's life.Today he realized that his wife Shilpa will leave him at any time.She is suffering from cancer.Though Armaan was a rough and tough man Shilpa's disease formed tears in his eyes.Suddenly he remembered their conversation.

Flashback...
Armaan was working on his laptop.Shilpa embraced Armaan from behind.Armaan did'nt mind her.

Shilpa:Armaan...

Finally he lost his patience.
ARMAAN:What nonsense is this Shilpa?Don't you know that I am working.
SHILPA:Armaan...you are so busy that you have no time to spare for me.You are so unromantic.

 ARMAAN:I don't believe in romance.It's so boring.
SHILPA:I love romance.
ARMAAN:So funny.
Armaan started walking away.Shilpa held his hand.

Shilpa was very emotional.
SHILPA:Armaan...i have a wish.If my death is predictable..i mean if you ever come to know i am going to die please be romantic during my last days.I want to have a romantic candle light dinner, and rain dance with you.I would like to get a surprise gift on my birthday.And more than that i want to hear you saying 'I love you' to me.So that I can die happily fulfill all my wishes.
ARMAAN:Nonsense.I don't believe in giving gifts on birthday.Infact i don't believe in celebrating birthday.It's meant only for kids.Candle light dinner will fill the room with mosquitoes and doing rain dance is mad.We will fall sick.Fever...cold...etc...I hate saying 'I love you'.It's too filmy.
Shilpa became dull.

Present...
Armaan shed tears:I will fulfil your wishes Shilpa.

Armaan went near Shilpa.He caressed her hair:Shilpa!
He looked at her emotional.
SHILPA:What happened Armaan?
ARMAAN:Nothing.Dress up.Let us go out for dinner.
SHILPA:Now?
ARMAAN:Yes.Immediately.
SHILPA:Why are you in a hurry?I am not in a mood to go out.
ARMAAN:Come on Shilpa.Get ready fast.
SHILPA:Ok...don't get angry always.I will dress up now.

They went to a restaurant.Shilpa was surprised to see candle light dinner there.
SHILPA:Armaan!
ARMAAN:Specially for you my dear wife.
SHILPA:I can't believe that you arranged candle light dinner for me.You called me 'dear' also.After the honeymoon period now only you called me by sweet names.

 He smiled.
They started having dinner.
SHILPA:Can i feed you?
ARMAAN:What's the need for feeding me?
Shilpa got irritated:You are so unromantic.You can never change.
Armaan:I mean...today I will feed you.

She was surprised.

He fed her food.With a smile she fed him back.

They smiled at each other.

After a long time Armaan saw her smiling from her heart.He controlled his emotions.

The next day...
Armaan saw rain drops falling down.Immediately he grabbed Shilpa's hand and ran out.

Shipla was excited:Wow!Rain!

ARMAAN:Let us dance Shilpa...
Shilpa was again surprised.

Shilpa:But you said dancing in rain is madness and we will fall sick.
ARMAAN:Opinions keep changing Shilpa.Now I don't care about the after effects.But I want to dance in rain.

Shilpa smiled.

Armaan:I don't know to dance.But hold me and make me dance.

She held him and danced. Armaan felt unknown pleasure.

 Their hearts sang  while dancing:Kehte hain

After a few days...
It was Shilpa's birthday.When she opened her eyes Armaan sat near her:Happy birthday my dear wife...
He gave her a red suit and  accessories.She was surprised.She was surprised to see long earrings.Armaan used to hate her wearing long heavy earrings and.
SHILPA:Long earrings?You have no problem with me wearing them?
ARMAAN:No.You wear what you like.
SHILPA:Thank you so much Armaan.
SHILPA:I just can't believe that a stingy man like you spent money on my clothes and ornaments...
ARMAAN:Anything for a surprise birthday gift.
They smiled.
She came wearing the red suit and ornaments.She looked gorgeous.She was surprised to see the birthday cake as Armaan never believed in cake cutting.
ARMAAN:Your favourite chocolate flavoured cake.
She was surprised as Armaan had always hated chocolates cakes.
She cut the cake and fed Armaan.At the same time he put a small piece in her mouth.

Armaan cupped her face in his hands:I love you Shilpa..

She became very emotional.She was surprised.Though Armaan loved her he never said 'I love you' to her.He thought admitting his love will decrease the power of his manliness.
She smiled.Her eyes were full of tears expressing her happiness.

  SHILPA:Armaan...Thanks a lot for fulfilling my wishes.All my dreams have come true.I am so happy now.I can't believe that you said you love me.First time you said 'I love you' to me.Now i don't mind dying.

Her words pricked his heart:Shilpa...don't talk like that.You will never die.

ARMAAN:Ya...but...
SHILPA:But i hope i will be able to live in your heart forever.
ARMAAN:Yes Shilpa.You will always be there in my heart.

Suddenly Shilpa felt like fainting.
ARMAAN:Shilpa!
He held her.
Her nose started bleeding heavily.Armaan could'nt bear it.
SHILPA:Armaan!
Uttering his name she took her last breath.
Armaan screamed loudly:Nooo!
He cried hugging her lifeless body.

  Flash back...
Once when Shilpa wore long earrings.Armaan got angry.
ARMAAN:Remove it Shilpa.If you don't obey me you can go back to your house.I can live alone without you.
Shilpa suppressed her pain and ran away bursting into tears.In that anger he did'nt even try to pacify her.

Present...
That day for a silly reason he threatened her that he will send her back home and he can live alone.Now Armaan understands living alone without Shilpa is hard.He cried loudly:Sorry Shilpa...
His heart cried thinking of Shilpa:
Mana Bikhra hun me, mene khwab firoye the...Teri saanso me gum hun abhi , teri chahat adhuri hai...

Armaan at least realized Shilpa's worth before her dyeing.

Otherwise I was not impressed with him.

It was sweet how he did all things for her.
