Prem got ready for his brother Ranbir and his sweet heart Kanya's engagement party.
Muskaan entered his room.
"Prem..are you ready?"
"Yes Muskaan.I am ready".
"Prem..you are dressed.But you have to smile.Only then your dressing will be complete",she teased him.
"Muskaan..you are my best friend.You know everything about me.Since Heer left me I have not smiled".
Muskaan's face became dull.She became upset.
"I know that Prem.But today you need to smile.It's your brother's engagement.They will be upset if you are upset".

Prem kept quiet.
"Prem...you will smile today.I have a surprise for you",she said.
"Surprise?Nothing can surprise me Muskaan.Let us go."
Prem was not at all excited about the surprise.
Muskaan's face became dull.
She said in her mind, "Being your best friend I tried my best to make you smile.At last I am going to be successful.I am sure that today you will smile seeing my surprise".
Prem and Muskaan went to the hall.
Muskaan was still sad.
"Hope Heer understands Prem and does'nt leave him again.If she hurts him again...poor Prem".

A song was played.

Suddenly Prem's eyes fell on a beautiful lady.
Prem could not believe his eyes.
"Heer!"
Muskaan started dancing.She pulled Heer to the dance floor.
They both started dancing.

Prem's eyes were fixed on Heer.


After the dance Muskaan went towards Prem.
"How is my surprise Prem?"
Prem did not know what to say.
"Muskaan...Heer..."
"I know that you are really happy to see Heer.I knew that only Heer can be a surprise for you.I met her accidently and I brought her here".
"Thank you so much Muskaan.This is the most beautiful surprise",Prem thanked her.
She smiled,
"Ok.No thanks in friendship.Right?"
"Yes",Prem smiled.
His eyes searched for Heer.
He went to the balcony.As he expected Heer was there.That was Heer's favourite area in his house.
"Heer!" His lips shivered.

She turned back and looked at him.
They both looked at each other emotionally.

"Dil ne jise apna kaha - (2)
bekhabar woh hain wahan, jane pal jamin aasman) - (2)

mile najar unase par behaya tanha bato me bhee keh naa sake

Prem broke the silence.
"Heer...why did you leave me and go without even biding good-bye'?"
He looked very upset.

Tears dwelled in her eyes.
"I am sorry Prem.I made a big mistake by doing that".
Prem,Rahul,Muskaan and Heer were best friends in the college.Prem and Heer had feelings for each other.One day Heer left the college without informing them.
"Heer...do you know how much I missed you?"
Prem asked her with pain.
"I am sorry Prem",Heer apologized with pain.
He held her hands.
He looked at her eyes deeply.
"Just because you left me I could not say a very important thing to you.Do you know that?".

She said in her mind,
"Prem...I know what you are going to say.Muskaan had told me what you could'nt say because of my unexpected exit.But still I want to hear it from you".
"I love you Heer",Prem confessed his feelings.
She burst into tears.
Her tears made him upset.
"Heer...I can't stand your tears".
"Prem...I too love you",she opened her heart.
He smiled.
"I know that you love me".
She cried.
"I am sorry Prem.I did'nt know that you had feelings for me.I thought you and Muskaan were dating each other.I was broken completely by such unnecessary thoughts.That's why I left the college suddenly".

Prem was shocked.


"When I met Muskaan only I realized that was wrong".

Prem looked at her unbelievingly.
"Heer...I just can't believe this.Three of us were the best buddies in college. How could you think that we would hide such a big secret from you?Yes,I hid a secret from you.We hid from you that I love you.Because I was waiting for the perfect occasion to confess my feelings.But I was too late".

Prem turned back.
Heer held his hand.
"Prem...are you angry with me?"
Suddenly he pulled her towards him.
They shared a romantic eye lock.Their eyes told each other what their hearts longed to tell each other.

"Heer...Muskaan was planning to disclose something to us.But before that itself you left.She is in love with Rahul.Last month they got engaged".

Heer smiled.
"They look so grand.Because of my stupidity I missed the function".

Muskaan came there.Seeing them together she felt very happy.
"Prem...Heer..."
They broke the eye lock.They were shy to face her.
"I am sorry to disturb you both.Actually everybody is waiting for you guys",Muskaan said.
"We are coming Muskaan",Prem said.
Heer went towards Muskaan.
She hugged Muskaan.
"Thank you Muskaan for giving me my love.Only because of you I got Prem".
"Hey Heer...don't be so silly.I don't want you to be too emotional ok".
Heer smiled.

Heer asked,"Muskaan...I heard that you and Rahul..."

Muskaan blushed,

"You heard right.In fact Rahul has reached now".

Heer was surprised,

"Rahul has come?It's been a long time since I met him".
They went to the hall.

Ranbir and Kanya exchanged rings.They were very shy.

Ranbir opened his heart before Kanya,

"I love you Kanya.Thanks for coming into my life and making a rough man like me soft and romantic.If you hadn't entered my life I don't know how my life would have been".

Kanya blushed,

"Love you too Ranbir.Thanks for making my life beautiful.

He held her close with a smile.

Suddenly Prem raised his voice,
"There is another couple to get exchanged".
Everyone was curious to know who they were.
Prem's mother Preety asked,
"Prem beta...who are they?Break the suspense fast".
Prem held Heer's hand with a smile.
Preety smiled.
She became emotional.
"Prem beta...you and Heer are together?"
"Yes Maa..after a long time destiny brought us together",Prem said with a smile.
Preety became really emotional.
"I am so happy that finally you smiled after a long time.It's because of you Heer".
Heer smiled.

Ranbir and Kanya were very happy.

Ranbir said,

"I am happy that finally your wait is over and your Heer is with you".

Prem and Heer smiled.
"I will come now".
Preety went inside.
She came back in a few minutes with two diamond rings.
"Prem beta...put it on Heer's finger.And Heer...promise Prem  that you will be with him forever by making him wear this ring".
Heer became emotional,
"I promise..i won't repeat my mistake.I will never leave Prem alone.I will be with him forever".
Prem ,Muskaan and Preety smiled.
Prem and Heer exchanged rings.

I always wanted to write on Saagar Vidya though I have not watched their show Banoo main tere dulhan.Years passed.I didn't get any opportunity to write on them.But surprisingly this OS series gave me a chance to write on this beautiful couple.This os inspired by my own life.

 The Proposal Ring

Vidya wears a beautiful red saree and looks at the mirror.She wears a ring.

"How can i not wear this ring when i dress for Saagar's cousin sister's sangeet ceremony?This ring may not be gold.But it's precious for me.Because it is Saagar's first gift for me.He is a perfect husband who showers love on me".
Vidya remembers that beautiful evening.

 

Flash back...

 

Vidya and Saagar are in a candle light room.

To her surprise Saagar slipped a ring on her finger.

"Beautiful ring Saagar".She was very happy.

"Vidya...are you sure that you are happy with this ring?"He asked her doubtfully.

"Of course Saagar.This ring is so pretty.And I loved the stone on this ring".

"But Vidya...you know that it is not either gold or platinum.The stone is neither diamond or ruby"

"So what Saagar?For me this ring is more precious than gold and diamond.Because you bought this specially for me with lots of love with your hard earned money.I loved it.I will teasure this ring forever".

"I am so lucky to have such an understanding partner.I will get you a diamond ring after I get promotion".

She just smiled.

He held her hand and asked,

"Vidya,will you marry me?"

She blushed,

"What is the need of asking that?Of course I will marry you.If I don't marry you,whom will I marry duffer?"

They both giggled.

Vidya caresses her ring remembering that beautiful proposal scene.
Saagar comes home.
"Vidya..are you ready?Shall we go for the function?"
"Yes.We will leave now".
"You are looking gorgeoues in this saree".
She blushes,
"Thank you".
They go to the neighbouring house for the function.

Saagar is talking to someone at the party.Vidya looks at her finger.She is shocked to see her empty fingers.
"My ring!Where s it?"
She looks around.But she is disappointed with the result.She sees the bride's mother Ragini.
"Ragini aunty..i know that you are busy.But if you get any ring from the floor please give it to me.It's mine.It looks like a diamond ring.But it's not.It's an ordinary ring.But very precious for me".
"Ok Vidya.I will.."
"Thank you aunty".
Vidya is really upset.
"I lost the ring which i value the most.This is the ring with which Saagar proposed to me.Is it a bad omen?I'm scared.God..please save our relationship".
She prays in her mind.
Vidya is o upset that he can't enjoy the party while Saagar is having fun there.Vidya goes near him.
"I'm going home Saagar".
"What?Leaving the party?"
"It's night.The ceremony is over.I had dinner also.I'm quite tired".
"Ok.Go and sleep.I will come later".
"Ok".

Vidya is sitting on the bed thinking about the lost ring.
"Thinking about losing the ring is so painful.I have to tell Saagar about this".

Saagar enters the room.Vidya looks at him.
"You have not slept till now?"
"No".
Before she could say more Saagar shows the ring which she lost.She can't believe her eyes.
"Wow!I'm so happy now".
She takes it from him.
"I was so sad when i lost it.How did you get this?"
She asks.
"Ragini Maasi got it from the floor and she gave it to me".
"So sweet.Do you remember this ring?"
"No".He is confused.
"You don't remember anything other than your work.This is the ring you put on my finger while proposing me".
"Really?I forgot."
"Yes.So i was so upset when i lost it.Look at God's game.I lost it.I got it back from my own husband who gave me this ring.This shows that God made us for each other.He made our bond stronger".
He smiles.

"I gave you so many precious gifts.Still you value this cheap ring?"

"Money wise it is cheap.But it more precious than the other so called costly ornaments you gifted me.Because it's your first gift".

He smiles holding her shoulder:You are so cute Vidya.
