Colors has inched closer to leader, Star Plus in latest India ratings supplied by BARC.
According to Week 22 of 2015 data, Colors delivered a gross viewership of 368 million (last week 361 million), while Star Plus registered 396 million (last week 406 million). ZEE TV was in third with 233 million, same as last week.
Life Ok was in fourth position with 230 million (last week 224 million), followed by SAB TV with 203 million (last week 187 million).
Badtameez Dil' on Star Plus
A new fiction called Badtameez Dil' is set to launch later this month, which will replace Nisha Aur Uske Cousins' on Star Plus.
The musical love story is produced by Saurabh Tewari and stars newcomers Pearl V. Puri,Asmita Sood and Suyyash Rai.
Badtameez Dil' is about a wealthy college student Abeer, who enjoys music. During his time at college, he sets eye on a girl, who subsequently get married at a young age. However, things take a turn and the couple separate. Badtameez Dil' follows the journey of the couple and their love/hate saga.
Badtameez Dil' starts on Monday 29th June at 20:30, replacing Nisha Aur Uske Cousins'.
Zee TV's upcoming show, Tashan-E-Ishq, produced by Esselvision Productions has already roped in South actress Jasmine Bhasin as its female lead.
Now, getting on board will be yet another popular face from the big screen. Sidhant Gupta, of the fame Bang Bang Bangkok and Badmaashiyaan has been signed opposite Jasmine as the male lead.
As per our reliable source, "Zain Imam will be the negative lead on the show, while Sidhant is the trump card and male lead."
We tried buzzing the channel spokesperson, but did not get through them.
The shoot of the show is presently on in Amritsar. Popular faces Bhupinder Singh, Vaishnavi McDonald, Beena Banerjee, Ashwin Kaushal are part of the show.
Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor is reportedly set to replace Madhuri Dixit in Colors' hit reality TV show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa'.
Times Of India reports that this year's season will see a whole new judging panel with only Karan Johar retaining his place on the judging panel. Apparently, this will be the first time that the show will have an all-male judging line-up. Choreographer Ganesh Hegde is expected to replace Remo D'Souza, who has defected to Star Plus.
Kapoor is currently in the midst of wedding preparations. Reports say he will get married to Mira Rajput next month. July will also be a busy month for the actor, as he begins promotions for his next Shandaar', which also stars Alia Bhatt.
Colors is yet to officially announce details.
