Nach Baliye 7 went on air few months ago but the otherwise successful show could hardly match upto the TRPs this season. Be it the strange inclusions in the format or the gibberish judging, audiences seem to have started loathing the show more this season. And the makers too are in a soup. 

A source from the production tells us, "The format was made to bring in a lot more mirch masala to the table. People thought it would be a dhamaka and not just the usual dance offs between celebrity couples. But the 'Too Much' funda has not quite worked in the show's favour."

Also, the makers are unhappy with the judges, especially Preity Zinta. "Chetan Bhagat is perhaps hated by every contestant on the show. People are even questioning his credibility as a judge on a dance based reality show. But the makers are keen on keeping him on board because he is creating unnecessary drama and the controversies have also caught attention. But the pretty lady Preity Zinta is too gullible and has not been able to do much on the show. Plus, her erratic ways of shooting has already upseted the makers. Every now and then, she would call for breaks which would lead to delay in shooting episodes. The producers are tired of her attitude issues and might move on without her," our source said.

Preity was nowhere to be seen on this week's episode. While she clarified that she had to visit her ailing grand mom and hence could not be there on the judges' seat, our source has a different story to tell. "With just about sometime left for the show to come to an end, Preity and makers have had a fallout of sorts. She would go in to her van and never come out for hours. All this has irked Ekta and she has decided to get someone on board if talks with Preity doesn't fall back in place."

Now Preity might have been incompetent on the show, given that her contemporaries are doing a fantastic job on small screen, we still wonder what's keeping Ekta from sacking the know-it-all man who knows nothing? We bet you got who we are talking about

Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa season 8 is all set to roll out soon on Colors (BBC).

And if sources are to be believed, the show will go on floors from 29 June and most expectedly hit screens from 11 July.

Now, there has been speculation pertaining to the judges this season. Madhuri Dixit is out for sure and there have been reports of Shahid Kapoor being roped in this time.

"Talks are on with Shahid. Karan Johar is on board for two months and we hear choreographer Ganesh Hegde has been signed as the permanent judge," said our source.

However, another source of ours informed that Ganesh is definitely in talks with the channel but not as a judge but may be as a power performer or mentor of sorts.

"Channel is trying to bring in a new angle to spice up things", said the source.

When we spoke to Ganesh's manager Sanjeev he said, "Nothing has been finalized yet."

Channel spokesperson chose not to divulge any information.

The contestants for this season are Sanaya Irani, Vivian Dsena, Ashish Choudhry, Dipika Samson, Kavita Kaushik, Sargun Mehta, Shamita Shetty, Parth Samthaan, Radhika Madan among others.
