It's just 4-7 years since new talents are around.Ranbir is a huge crowd puller and couple of others are on their way too.It's because the reach is faster.They will take the throne sooner or later.

These Companies are not dumb to not do any market research before giving these youngsters endorsement deals.

Salman gave 2 ATBBs in 6 years of debut. SRK gave ATBB DDLJ in 3-4 years itself.

Aamir won National Award for Raakh in second year of debut. In third year he gave year's biggest hit Dil.

They did not become huge after 25 years.

Hrithik gave two yearly top grossers in 3 years of starting career.

Yeah Ranbir is huge crowd puller. Nothing to even challenge seniors yet alone topple them.

Seniors displaced older stars on their own. They didn't have to wish for their predecessors to retire!

Even after killing people and abusing girlfriends, salman is still loved today... isn't it better youngsters don't have that kind of record ...in that sense, who is over-hyped more, salman or ranbir? ... in west, he would be behind bars already, forget doing movies and endorsements

It is about popular appeal. Be it online or BO, or real life surveys like Ormax the seniors rule.

BTW Ranbir is surely more hyped than Salman currently. News about his relationships comes daily.

Also FYI, Salman was barely hyped in his nascent years. Still gave ATBBs and bagged endorsements. The controversies you mentioned happened later after he was established and had given many hits.

Youngsters ought to prove themselves than just hype. That's my point. They have done nothing solid.

What's the big deal about endorsements? Even a non film personality like Riddhima Kapoor has them!

For brand endorsement endorsers personality have to related with product along with star power , popularity , influence etc.  Just like when the target consumer for two wheeler are basically in the age group of young college going consumers or youth centric product then a alia can more relate with the product rather than priyanka. Slowly alia fetching some good brand. Endorser should appeal to that targeted consumer group.

Still i think baring Ranbir kapoor other did not have as much successful brands in their kitty .  Mostly others have brands which were rejected by stars or have lesser known brands who cant afford A list actors .

 One have to be that much successful , credibility , influence, ability to generate sale and popularity to fetch some good brands .

in the current lot they dont have choice , so by default among new comer only ranbir kapoor and deepika are more successful and influential , so they fetch some good brands and rest are struggling with having only a very few popular brands.

From current lot ranbeer mostly in the favorable position , not because he is so much successful but becoz he is better than all average current lot. Just like he can fetch a brands like pepsi becoz they dont have other choice in current lot. He is the biggest beneficiary among average current lot in spite of he himself being not so good or just average 😆
