What star power did Salman and Bhagyashree have when MPK broke all records? What star power Hrithik had when KNPH smashed BO?

It's just excuses all the way.

Even after 4-7 years these guys can't make a mark, even after hyping love life and dating top actresses they are unable to excite public, no antics worked.

Ok, cool then. The new brigade is useless. A talentless bunch. Sad. 😆

Even after smashing debuts it took sallu,srk and aamir uncle almost 25 years to reach where they are right now😆

It's just 4-7 years since new talents are around.Ranbir is a huge crowd puller and couple of others are on their way too.It's because the reach is faster.They will take the throne sooner or later.

I don't know what kind of mark some people are talking about😆

These Companies are not dumb to not do any market research before giving these youngsters endorsement deals.

These companies need younger looking people for their products; they are choosing from what is 'available'

Also, I don't know much about the movie markets and all that stuff. But I THINK, it has also something to do with the fact that movies aren't the only form of entertainment right now, like they were a decade ago. Earlier, the audience wasn't even exposed to the world cinema like they are right now. Probably the bar is set too high. Difficult to impress and take the nation by Strom. Anyway, this might just sound like excuses, so I don't know. 😆


Also, atomnis has a point. In Malayalam, I think Bangalore days has broken records. It has youngsters. So that must mean something. Don't know, we could wait and watch. Even we could have a bangalore days where the youngsters might come together and break the records and make the audience fall in love with them. 😆

The bottom line is, we should wait and watch, they might establish themselves in a few years and then attain the stardom. Till now, Ranbir has done a good job in that department with a movies like Barfi and YJHDi. Too bad he is signing lame movies . 😆

Good that the big brands are putting faith on these young stars , they have done well with the given chances in BW and are quite popular among the general public.

Movies of the young brigades are definitely much better than Khan uncles & few other dinasours if u take last 4-5 years into account & they will take over the biggest stars position too in coming years.Edited by Sharif.Badmaash - 9 years ago

how is boxoffice related to receiving endorsements in early phase of your career? 😆  sushant, varun don't have 100 crore grossers, still they receive brands to endorse.
Is hyping love life and dating top actresses a bigger sin than killing people and abusing gfs?😆
Even after killing people and abusing girlfriends, salman is still loved today... isn't it better youngsters don't have that kind of record ...in that sense, who is over-hyped more, salman or ranbir? ... in west, he would be behind bars already, forget doing movies and endorsements

All records belong to senior stars each year. Youth not able to give even year's second biggest hit.

Today's newcomers are worse than Anils, Jackies, Mithuns, Sanjays etc of 80s. At they were able to give year's biggest hits like Tezaab. Today's youth brigade can't even manage that despite working with top heroines and indulging in skin show.

They are also scared of sharing screen space with seniors whereas a newbie SRK made mincemeat of seniors in Deewana and Darr.

They gloat at getting one 100 crore hit whereas seniors started 300 crore club.

Ads with senior stars still adorn magazines and newspapers. Aamir stopped taking up endorsements yet his old posters still adorn showrooms of Tata Sky and Samsung.

Youth brigade has done nothing of consequence.
