THE IMPERFECT KNOT
PART A
It was a bright sunny day at Mumbai & Arjun Rawte the owner of Rawte group of companies was accustomed to a lavish life style as he had grown seeing all the facilities around him he was a pure business man never cared for any relations in his life as his parents died when he was just 20 leaving a huge business empire on him. He dealt with all the situations in Business very nicely & very soon was able to take over the business properly.
But that made him lusty & greedy man all together. Power luxury all made him a shameless & opportunist person who does not care for any one. He had many passing affairs in his life & he had become a complete womanizer.
As it is said no matter how successful are but you still need to come back home, you need support of someone entire your life Arjun married a girl Roshni who was complete opposite of him in nature. Arjun was business minded, rough & arrogant at times non emotional but roshni was extremely emotional & loving person. She was good natured down to earth & had a pleasing personality that too from a normal middle class family & had a high principle that is why Arjun had married her.
He made sure that roshni doesn't come to know of this entire affair & his greedy nature he consoled her parents that he will take a very good care of her & her parents too agreed seeing a good & blissful life for their daughter.
Today was their 5th wedding Anniversary. Arjun had thrown a lavish party in a 5 star hotel All the guests were enjoying the party & congratulating the couple. Arjun didn't had any desire left in his life what he only wanted was to complete his family now as arjun & roshni didn't have a child till now.
In the party Mr Karunesh anand one the most trusted partner introduced her daughter Saakshi anand to arjun she was working as a fashion designer. Soon they gelled well too in the party.
Saakshi was one strong modern lady with a charming personality she was smart, courageous, & straight forward. Arjun after meeting her in a flirtatious way said "waise kaafi accha laga aapse milkar aur aapse ye mulaquaat yaad rahegi"
Saakshi said "Really Mr .Arjun Kaash main aapke bare main bhi aisa keh sakti" Arjun with a sly smile said "aap mere bare main na kahe par main to aapke bare main keh hi sakta hoon" saakshi & arjun both smiled at each other. After a whle party ended.
Later in the night Roshni asked arjun with a sly smile "Arjun wo Ladki kaun thi jo Karinesh ji ke saath yaha aayi thi ?"
Arjun said "wo unki beti thi roshni Saakshi naam hai uska badi interesting personality hai" & he gives a naughty smirk
Roshni smiles back at arjun in a same way "so to main dekh hi rahi thi bada interest le rahe the tum usme " after giving meaningful & naughty looks to each other both burst out in a laughter.
That was first time when arjun saakshi met each other
Here saakshi too thought arjun to an interesting character as well. Few days after the party due to some exigency the designer of his garment business had quit the job arjun was looking for a new designer so Karunesh proposed saakshis name to which arjun agreed.
Saakshi joined Rawte Group of industries as a designer & Arjun & saakshi gelled very well but in a limit of friendship not beyond that. After she joined arjun started trying to go closer to her through different ways but saakshis attitude & her frame of mind was clear she was modern lady but with strong ethics.
One such day when after meeting Arjun tried to pull her through waist & kiss her saakshi gave a strong reply by giving him a tight slap on his face.
Sakshi yelled "Arju tumhari himmat kaise hui hum sirf dost hai use zayada kuch nahin aur tum shadishuda hoo ye karte hue tumhe sharam nahin aati"
He told saakshi " Shadi hun ! saakshi main jaanta hoon kitum mere shadishuda hone ki vajah se mere kareeb nahin aana chahtai par jo shadi bachi hi nahin tum use kya toodogi Roshni mujhse pyar nahin karti is vajah se main ander tak toota hua hoon maine uska saath nibhane ki har kaoshish ki hai par use sirf daulat se pyar hai tumhare paas aake mujhe sukoon mehsoos hua tha par lagta hai ki wo bhi mere naseeb main nahin hai"
Saakshi said "ye sab theek nahin hai arjun" Arjun said "haan shayad par kya mujhe kushi ka haqq nahin hai saakshi aur main tumhare saath kush rehna chahta hoon"
Sakshi walked ut without a word from the chamber. Next few days Arjun tried hard to made he belive that his marriage is at the verge of break roshni doest love at all & he is a lonely soul in the world.
saakshi was an emotional person she trusted arjun too & that was her biggest mistake. Arjun was playing with her emotions & she didn't even realized that when she started coming close to him.
Slowly Arjun was successful in his trick & saakshi started falling for her. After few days sue to some work Roshni visited the office of Arjun & she came to know that he is out with saakshi to a nearby restaurant.
Roshni was bit surprised but she wanted to tell him something important & that too face to face so she went to search arjun.
She would have never believed what she saw today if someone else had told her.
She saw saakshi & arjun in a romantic posture lost in each other she was totally heartbroken now. Person whom she trusted had betrayed her beyond repair but she thought saakshi being a lady would surely understand her situation & the news she was about to give arjun was that she is pregnant & wanted to give him surprise but she herself got a shock of her life.
Next day Roshni called Saakshi to meet her at the near restaurant & she readily agreed. Same day at the coffee shop they met Saakshi said "Kaho roshni kyu bulaa mujhe?"
Roshni said "Sachhayi batane saakshi ki jis aadmi se tum aur main dono pyar karte hai wo hum dono ko dhoka de raha hai"
Saakshi said "tumne to arjun ki daulat se pyar kiya hai Roshni to ab jab wo mere saath kush rehna chahta hai totumse bardasht nahin ho raha is liye ye baate ban rahi hoo"
Roshni said "nahin saakshi main koi baat nahin bana rahi main bas chahti hoon jo main jhel rahi hoon wo tumhe na jhelna pade aur pyar wo insaa kisi ke pyar ke layak nahin hai tum soocho jo apni biwi ka na h sak wo tumse kya rishta nibhayega "
Hearing this saakshi was startled indeed roshni was correct roshi continues "tum samajhdaar hoo apna faisla khud loo main bas tumhe aagah krne aayi thi"
Saakshi said "mainnahin jaanti Roshni kitum kua chahti ho par jo tumne kahah main logically use glat nahin keh sakti mujhe cheezo ko parakhne ka samay do "
Roshni nodded & they chatted for few more minutes & after that roshni left contended back to her so called house to give arjun her piece of mind.
PART B
Saakshi came back to rawte industries & wanted to share her meeting with roshni & clear things out with Arjun but he was in a meeting with a business associate. She overheard the talks as she was waiting to mee him & what she heard blew her mind.
Arjun was shamelessly telling about his love affairs to his associate saying "aapko pata hai khurana saab saaksh jaise ladki ke liye those mehnat karni padi par kamaal ki ladki hai typical Indian women types aur thodi emotional bhi isliye to thoda waqt laga" & starts lughing. Saakshi couldn't take anymore & left the office next moment with a broken heart.
Arjun came back home after a long day at office she decided to speak to & give him chance if he apologized for his mistakes with a true heart she will start fresh with him for the sake of her baby & her family which she didn't wanted to lose at any point & she wanted to make a last try.
After having dinner in their room roshni shot her first question without beating around the bush "Arjun kal main tumhe kuch batane aayi thi office main aur tum nahin mile to main tumhare peeche restaurant gayi thi"
Arjun was bit shocked but composing himself said "mera peecha kar rahi thi huh?"
Roshni said "accha hua kiya arjun warna mujhe kabhi pata nahin chalta ki asliyat kya hai?"
Arjun said ignoring "Kaise asliyat Roshni?"
Roshni said in a annoying tone "sab kuch jaan kar bhi mujhse sunna chahte hoo to suno maine tumhe aur saakshi ko wahah saath dekha tha bahut kareeb the tum dono main usi waqt poochna chahti thi par apne ghar tamasha itne logo ke saamne banana maine theek nahin samjha isliye abhi pooch rahi hoon "
Arjun said "Kya poochna chahti hoo roshni ki saakshi se mera kya vaasta hai to suno main bas usse apna dil behlana chahta tha tumhe ghabraane ki ya darne ki koi zaroorat nahin hai main tumhe koi chod nahin raha hoon "
Roshni was stunned with arjun words & attitude & was looking at her with a shocked face & Arjun continues "ye sab to high society main chalta rehta hai roshni tumhe ispe over react karne ki zaroorat nahin hai"
Roshni said bitterly "accha tum mere pyar aur mere vishwaas par vaar karo aur main react bhi na karoon kya tumhari nazar main pyar aur vishwaas ki koi jagah nahin?"
Arjun said "relax roshni main kaun sa tumhe chod raha hoon tum ab bhi is ghar ki maalkin hoo aur meri biwi"
Roshni couldn't take it anymore & left the room but arjun didn't payed much heed & slept thinking that she would be normal by tomorrow
Next morning Arjun got up & went to talk to Roshni thinking that she must have calmed down but to his surprise she was packing her bags arjun said "ye kya kar rahi hoo roshni?"
Roshni didn't replied & that increased arjun anger & he said yelling "Main kuch pooch raha hoon roshni?" roshni replied with same range "is ghar main koi behra nahin hai arjun to chillane ki zaroorat nahin hai main ye ghar chod ke jaa rahi hoon"
Arjun said "maine kahah to roshni to fir ye sab kyu kar rahi hoo kya chahti hoo ki main saari umar tumhare pallu se bandhkar rahoon ?"
Roshni said "Maine aisa nahin kahah Arjun aur tum aazadi se rehna chahte hoo na is liye jaa rahi hoon" Arjun said "ye tumhara faisla hai roshni maine tumhe jaane ke liye nahin kaha aur tum kahah jaao gi yaha sab kuch tumhara hai pachtaaogi ye ghar chod ke" with that arjun went back down stairs in anger & after a while roshni to came out with her baggage.
She said to arjun before leaving "Arjun main tumse kuch kehna chahti hoon"
Arjun said "kya kehna chahti kit um meri vajah se ghar chod ke jaa rahi hoo aur main tumhe rooku?" roshni said "Nahin arjun main aisa kuch nahin kahungi kit um mujhe rooko balki yaha se jaane se pehle wo kahungi jo main ab tak nahin keh paayi"
Arjun said " kaho kya kehna hai?"
Roshni took a deep breath & said "Arjun sirf mere ek sawaal ka jawaab do yadi main aisa karti jaisa tumne kiya hai to tum kya karte?"
Arjun yelled in anger "ye kaisa behuda sawaal hai roshni aur tum aisa karne ke baare main kaise sooch sakti hoo?"
Roshni said "Kyu kya hua arjun yadi tum kar sakte hoo to main kyu nahin ye sab karne ka haqq sirf mard kya hota hai yadi tum aisi harkat karo to wo high society ke taur tareeke hote hai aur main karoon to main characterless tum ek doogle insaan ho arjun jise sirf apne ahankaar aur zidd se pyar hai" She looked scornfully at Arjun & continues "tumne mujhse ek baar bhi nahin poocha ki main kya kehne aayi thi jaante hoo sabse badi kush khabri share karne aayi thi main ki main maa banne waali hoon"
Arjun suddenly hearing this changed totally & said "roshni please mat jaao dekho ye hamara bachha hai iski khatir ruk jaao "
Roshni turned to him angrily & said "Nahin arjun ab nahin aur is bacche ke liye hi main ye ghar chod rahi hoon kyuki tumhe apni is harkat pe zara bhi afsoos nahin hai tumhe to ye lagta hai ki main khaamkha faith aur pyar jaise shabd use kar rahi hoon tum mujhe sirf is bacche ke liye rookna chahte hoo aur main apne bacche par tumhari is ghatiya sooch ka asar nahin hone doongi"
Suddenly main door opens & saaakshi too enters & arjun is surprised to see her there he stopped her yelling at her "Tum yaha Kya karne aayi hoo?" sakshi gave her a disgusted look & walks towards roshni.
Arjun stopped her & as soon as he tried to pull her he got a tight slap from saakshi & she said "Don't u dare Arjun tumse nahin main roshni se baat karne aayi hoon" she turns towards roshni & sad "Main maafi maangne aayi thi roshni mujhe aise baat nahin karni chahiye thi tumne sach kahah tha aisa insaan kisis ke pyar ke laayak nahin hota"
Roshni said "Main kush hoon saakshi tumne sahi decision liya aur waqt rehte maine bhi main chalti hoon ab is jahgah main nahin reh sakti"
Roshni turned towards the gate & glanced at arjun one last time & said "Arjun tumhari is bewafayi par bhi shayad main tumhe maaf kar deti yadi tum sacche dil se maafi mangte par main apne aatm samman aur apni self respect tumhare jaise aadmi ke liye nahin chood sakti aur tum apne bacche ki chinta mat karo iski zimmadari tumhari bhi utni hi hogi jitni meri hai aur is zimedaari se main tumhe kabhi aazaad nahin karongi"
Arjun looked at roshni with guilt on his face & pleaded "to kyu jaa rahi hoo roshni please ruk jaao"
Roshni replied "Mrs. Roshni Arjun Suryakant Rawte.. is naam main shayad asli roshni kahin gum ho gayi thi ab main use dhoondne jaa rahi hoon arjun aur mujhe yakeen main main usse bahut jald milungi .."
with that she stepped out of the house with a contended face & heart to start a new life with her child & Saakshi & Arjun keep looking at her retreating back with a shocked face.
