The episode starts with Suriyya & Osmaan sharing with everyone, how naughty & stubborn Barkat was as a kid. Her laughter & smile, filled the air. They tell everyone, that Barkat used to often run away & hide near the Bawdi, whenever they played games. Her favourite game was hide & seek, where Zain & Barkat used to hide & Osmaan & Suriyya used to find them.
Suriyya & Osmaan talk about Mir khan. They share, how they mistook him to be a trustworthy person. Suriyya tells that, Osmaan brought Mir along with him, from Bhopal. They started out their careers together. While Osmaan achieved success, Mir remained jobless and angry. Osmaan gave him a job in the hotel, but soon Mir was caught doing a few illegal activities. This lead to Osmaan firing him from the job.
A few days later, when Barkat Royale's second anniversary party gets over, Suriyya & Osmaan play a game of hide & seek on Barkat's insistance, after the guests leave. Barkat & Zain hide near the Bawdi. Mir khan comes there & carries both the kids in his arms. Osmaan spots that & senses danger. He calls out to Mir, who runs with the two kids. Barkat & Zain start crying. Zain scratches Mir hard & Mir drops him. Suriyya runs to safeguard Zain. Osmaan follows Mir & asks him to leave Barkat. Mir pushes Osmaan & hits him on the head.
Osmaan starts to bleed badly. Suriyya is horrified & screams out for Barkat. Osmaan tries free Barkat from Mir's grip, but soon loses consciousness. Mir runs away with Barkat & Suriyya falls to ground with Zain, besides a hurt & unconscious Osmaan. The flashback ends, as Suriyya narrates all of this, to the family.
Osmaan opens the trunk. Suriyya takes Barkat's little frock & cries. She tells them that, the blood stains are of Osmaan, from that fateful day. Fahad asks them, why did they never mention about this, to which Osmaan replies that, Mir & Barkat's names were never taken again in the house, as they didn't want the pain that came along to engulf the lives of Zain & Fahad. Suriyya confesses how that incident left them with nothing but pain & that is the very reason she hates Bhopal for and wants her family to stay away from the shadows of Bhopal & every person that resides in there. She reveals that Mir, is Aaliya's own uncle. (Her Chacha) Aaliya is appalled & so is everyone. Zain looks at Aaliya.
Later, Zain is sitting by the poolside, all alone, immersed in deep thoughts. Aaliya looks at him from the window & feels bad for him. She remembers how Suri says, Mir khan is Aaliya's own uncle & realises why Suri has hated her all along. Fahad comes & sits next to Zain. He operates a toy & the two brothers look at it. They get vague flashbacks of how Barkat used to play with it. They get emotional remembering how, the three kids used to sit together, the same way by the poolside & play. Zain is hurt & tells Fahad, how he is trying hard to remember Barkat, but isn't able to. Fahad tells him not to strain himself.
Fahad says its difficult to remember exactly, since it's been ages, they were very young & the memories are hazy. Fahad says, he vaguely remembers, how they used to play together. He says, he's got very hazy memories of how her face looked like, or how her smile was & her laughter. Fahad says, he remember distantly asking Suri about Barkat, when she disappeared, to which Suriyya has said, that she was a neighbour's kid & that, the neighbours have left the City now.
Fahad cries thinking, if she is alive. Zain stops him from talking that way & assures that they'll find her again. Laakh duniya kahe song sequence is shown. They show a very distraught Suriyya, Zain & Fahad. Suriyya cries looking at Barkat's picture, in the night. Zain is all alone by the window side & Aaliya looks over at him. Fahad cries in his room, as Nafeesa, Shazia watch him sadly from a distance. Chand bibi offers him water, but he refuses to have anything. Zain, Fahad & Suriyya are extremely sad & isolate themselves. Suriyya gets emotional as she has flashbacks of Barkat.
Osmaan sits near Suri & tries to comfort her. He asks her to be bold. Suri says, she can't remain courageous anymore & that years have passed by. Suri says, she cannot forget Barkat or behave as strongly, as he does. Os says, he is as sad about Barkat, but just doesn't choose to show it. Suriyya says, she hasn't moved on & that she cannot give Barkat's place to anyone. Not even Aaliya. She says, Osmaan can consider Aaliya his daughter, but she can't . She cries thinking if she'll be able to find Barkat, before she dies. Os asks her to remain calm & not to think that way.
Later, Arub Sana & Said are in the hall, when Nafeesa comes and distances Arub & Sana from Saif. Saif wants to sleep with Sana & Arub, as they promised to tell him stories. Nafeesa tells Saif to stay away. Shazia comes & scolds Saif to sleep on his own bed & not with Sana & Arub. Saif starts pleading with Shazia, to which Shazia threatens of slapping him, if he fusses any further. Fahad screams from the corridor, daring Shazia to try slapping Saif. Nafeesa & Shazia get quiet.
Fahad walks up & carries Saif in his arms & makes him stand next to Arub & Sana. He takes Nafeesa's hand & makes her stand infront of Shazia. He asks them both to behave themselves, especially when infront of kids. He asks them, to never again try separating the kids from each other. He warns them, that if they try separating Saif from his sisters, he'll throw them out of the house. Shazia & Nafeesa are shocked with Fahad's furious behaviour. Fahad goes to the kids & asks them, if he may join them during bedtime, as he has lots of stories to tell them. The three kids, cheerfully agree.
Zain & Aaliya are in their room. Zain is still sitting by the window & stares outside with a lost look on his face. Aaliya goes upto him. Zain talks to her, on how he is worried about Barkat's whereabouts. He tells her, he is worried thinking if Barkat is even alive. If Mir Khan still has her & if he does, where is she. Zain says that, he isn't gonna die without finding her, to which Aaliya immediately covers his mouth, signalling him to not talk that way.
Zain stands up & questions her, about her faith in Allah. He asks her, that since she is a believer, why did her God allow such a thing to take place. Aaliya replies that it's not easy to understand Allah's will & says, that whenever Allah tests people, they lose faith. But in her case, her faith has always only gotten stronger. She tells him not to lose hope. She says, that they need to be grateful to the fact, that Allah led them to the trunk & now, he'll lead them to finding Barkat & slowly open doors. She assures Zain, that Barkat will be safe, wherever she is. The episode ends.
Precap - Aaliya is tucking, a fast asleep Zain under the blanket. Zain stirs a bit & catches hold of Aaliya's hand, just as she is about to leave. He tightens his grip around her hand. Aaliya smiles & sits next to him on the bed and leans back.
