It's ok if you don't get cult films that are popular with the masses. Your aesthetic is different, but does not mean it is better.
You don't enjoy it, fine, but there is a reason that among hazaar films made in a year, there are few films that are clearly not the greatest but manage to entertain multiple generations across the world over and over and stand the test of time. Why is it so when better films have clearly failed. Who knows ?
it's like Rajnikanth's popularity, a man who is not handsome, cannot act well but has fans of all ages around the world, both educated and uneducated who find him universally appealing over handsome people who can act circles around him. Some people and films have the IT factor, it cannot be explained. Call it kismet, magic, lightening in a bottle, who knows?
