oh both and I have not been sleeping well so last night I took some meds to sleep and now this morning I can't wake up - to top it off I decided to get serious abt my weight this year - so signed up for a weight loss program online - its great but 4 days of no results and yes I know its early but still - and still struggling with the diabetes - finding time to exercise is so hard .

sleeping wise - we go through that phase every now and then, so don't take any med.
re. diabetes and weight - just eat healthy often but less quan.  

eat more fruit, salads and veg.   rotis without ghee, cut down on rice.   sabzi's with less oil.

Thanks Shob - and yeah I have adjusted my diet a lot, I just have to be patient

sunita - for lunch at work, try to have wraps, or pitta bread filled with salad or soup & bread.  then fruit yogurt and fresh fruits

yeah shob I made a pot of veg soup and that's lunch everyday - with some sort of protein added like turkey or chicken - 3oz each - I have 5 strawberries - a small portion of 1% cottage cheese - I snack on raw veggies carrots cucumber and peppers - breakfast is small slice of whole wheat bread with cheese or boiled egg - I drink 3 + litres of water daily - dinner is a work in progress - mostly small whole wheat roti and curry or brwn rice with curry and salad

have u tried carrot juice blended with small apple in it.  this is healthy and refreshing.   water after a while becomes boring.
my sister who is also a diabetic finds it helpful if she has this carrot juice everyday.   for her mid-day snack, she boils until tender, fresh green methi (fistful) with a pinch of salt and pepper.   
she finds methi helps in sugar level.

I find bajri+juwar rotla's everyday reduces my sugar levels.

also boiled drumsticks good for diabetics.   I love the juice of drumsticks
