It is almost the eleventh hour ... Almost, but not quite ...
Aakash, the eager beaver, is nervously preening, curiously distracted, trying his best to shed some last minute dead weight. Today, of all days, Bhai for some reason, decided he should work from his office, his unfinished cabin notwithstanding.
And moreover, Bhai irritatingly insists on not telling him how he looks in his brown shirt, instead, he insists on veering the conversation to some random Mr Sharma ... Oh yes ... Mr Sharma ... the client. But today, Mr Sharma will just have to wait. Not every day that our shy boy goes on a date. Who cares if the chances of the date actually showing up are slim to none ...
Payal, the confused, nervously clock staring, agitatedly hand wringing date, is still undecided, wanting desperately to go, but scared to take that first step. It is almost too late ... But then, thankfully decides that this is one of those, abhi nahin gayi toh sari umar pachtaoongi moments. At the almost eleventh hour, the chances of the hot date actually happening go from slim to full on ... She leaps into a passing Auto rickshaw, dropping her batua right outside.
Shaym, the duplicitous, two timing snake, is never late. In fact, he is stunningly well timed. He too, at this late hour, when his clueless wife was clearly beginning to suspect that not all is well in her rose tinted world, is successfully pulling off a meticulously planned, romantically propped hot drama date, replete with flirty smiles, sugary phrases and one very dispensable simple style vali, sonay mein jaddi heray ki angoothi.
Motilalji ki toh chandi hoi gayi, do do ek jasi angoothian bik gai! Let Anjali shop elsewhere, Shayam Babu and his philandering ways will surely keep him busy for years to come ...
Anjali, the fearfully suspicious, woefully gullible, irritatingly dutiful wife is being led, wide eyed, by her nose, down another candle lit, rose petals strewn path, a simple diamond ring dangling in front ... A ring that ropes her in completely, bolting all doors solidly shut. Doors that would have led her out of her, built in shifting sands, sapno ki duniya.
Our man ASR's ears perk up the minute he hears her name. Her tear stained face swims before his eyes. Be still, my beating heart, he tries hard ... But his tired heart, it protests, I just cannot cannot take another beating this soon. Bas. Dull, dull Mr Sharma and his construction debris strewn cabin are infinitely better options. Let's get the hell outta here. Aakash ... Ouit with this preening!
Our girl, Khushi, the ever flitting Titliya, her plate is full to the brim. Chandini chowk, Khan market, Regal cinema kay pas vala Mohan Singh palace and Dilli ka traffic !!! Aur engagement bhi khud ki nahin ... Aab kya bolnay ? What is a girl to do, when you lose your heart to one stubborn as a bull, irrational as hell, but heartbreakingly unforgettable man who apologizes with the softest, the most puppy dog brown eyes you will ever see. You run around like a chicken with no head, slaving for his engagement celebrations ... Aap nahin samjhaygay, karna padta hai.
The musical chairs restaurant is crowded. No one wants to sit still, they breeze in and out of camera range, strolling, coming in and then coming in again ... Switching partners with breathtaking speed, changing tables, milling around our hero as he stands, his back to the one person he would kill to be with but also the one person he would rather die than see right now.
The tables are set, THE date pre-destined, the participants all hazir. The willing, the unwilling, and the secretly, secretly, deeply secretly delighted.

Ipoona, that is one khushi like energetic write up for a rather very cute.. for lack of a better word...episode. I miss you the days I don't get to read you... wish there are a separate 24 hrs just for this.. to read and write about these two.. and be in the company of those whose thoughts sync exactly.
just loved that underlined... u know there is that child like innocence ... a genuine heart which in itself is struggling to cope with everything around, the emotions, anger and its downfall... like I have never seen in a man... esp with the harshest words like his.. that one HAS to fall for him.. poor Khushi kya cheez hai..
Shyam is the true shatir dimaag actually.. always ready with plans. nothing happens naturally for/with him.. Anjlai's unidirectional blindness shocking to the least!
This caf scene is one of my most favs .. my fav Payalji gets to be gutsy.. and to show hum kisi se kam nahi...:)will see you on the next epi one..
