Dhritrashtra always wanted to become a ruler of Hastinapur even though he knew that his physical disability made him unsuitable to be a Emperor still he wanted Pandu to leave the throne...and Pandu did leave the throne just for the sake of his elder brother... but Dhritrashtra never felt bad for him!
After Pandu's death Pandu's sons were treated with inequality and he always had inclination towards his own sons.
So Did Dhritrashtra really had any love for his younger brother Pandu?

Yed Dhritrashtra loved pandu ... Just as much as kunti and madri loved each other. 😆
on a serious note, i am sure he had love in his heart for his brother somewhere. But he often seemed to forget it.
He probably wasnt happy that pandu was the first choice for a king.
So there must be some jealousy and disdain with the love.

I feel Dhrithrashtra did love his brother somewhere deep down but his love for his children and power over took all of it.

Actually he couldn't accept his disability and felt jealous deep in his heart when his younger brother became the king.
And later his Putra-moh controlled every move of him.

Dhritrashtra did love Pandu .. But the fact is that he was too ambitious to be in the clutches of that love for his lil bro ... He always wanted him and his sons to be ahead of everyone.. He may have loved Pandu once but happily forgot it when it came to himself n his sons ... And all this started because he was too ambitious and jealousy for Pandu took over his mind when Pandu was crowned as the king .. Since then he had dreamed of his son becoming the king ... And that is why he could never love the Pandavas as a tau because he considered them a constant threat in the path of Duryodhan and the throne of Hastinapur ..Edited by simplysappy - 10 years ago

the thirst for power and property can create rifts between real and closest of siblings. Pandu and Dhrit were half-brothers, and moreover Dhrit always had insecurity due to his blindness, so even if he loved Pandu (may be more during childhood) but as they grew up maybe his fears and ambitions overtook his love for him eventually.

Maybe he loved Pandu deep down, but I doubt it was very strong because if it was, he would never have let injustice happen to his nephews, no matter how much he loved his sons. Ambition and power were far more important to Dhritarastra than his brother  was. He let jealousy and greed lead his life until it was too late.

No, he didn't.  Actually, in that respect, this serial has shown Dhritarashtra properly.  I however don't think that Pandu was anything like Yudisthir - always thinking about Dhritarashtra, as they showed.
