Chapter One
(Three weeks later...)
"How could this have happened Zor? This makes no sense, she called, he called saying they were alright and then...and now..." she stopped in frustration and she gripped the pallu of her saree in frustration.
"Amrit," Zor said resting his hands on her shoulder.
Everyone was gathered outside Shraddha's room in the hallway, anxiously trying to hear any news about what was going on.
Everyone rushed immediately when they heard about Shraddha, Kunal, and Dhruv being involved in an accident three weeks ago.
People called in after reporting a black Mercedes SUV being overturned on a highway back into the city and it took a while before emergency can reach there on time.
"See what did I tell you mami ji, if you accepted this marriage this is what happens," Jaya said quietly to Kamini.
Kamini was still paralyzed from shock when she came to find out about what happened to Kunal.
"See Kamini, see your son that you gave to Shraddha, you have lost it rightly due to her. I wouldn't be shocked if she planned all of this," Jaya sneered.
Kamini looked at Jaya with a deep look and didn't say anything, which encouraged Jaya to rave some more.
"Shraddha is something isn't she? Her first husband divorces her and now her second is dead, I wonder what will happen to the third..."
"That's enough!" Kamini said.
Jaya was startled and she slightly rebounded.
"What's wrong mami ji?" Jaya asked.
"It's you," Kamini said turning a sharp gaze at her.
"What did I do?" Jaya said at a lost.
"Your mouth, it's annoying, shut up," Kamini said and she walked away from a speechless Jaya.
"What's her problem, I was just trying to tell her the truth, it's not like she wasn't thinking it all along," Jaya said pouting before she walked over to join Ashish.
"Papa ji!" Kittu raced in the waiting room.
All eyes turned to her as well as Anand who trailed behind his wife.
"Kittu what's wrong," Amrit said with an edge of hesitation in her voice.
"Calm down Amrit, Kittu, what's wrong?" Zor said.
Kittu and Anand glanced at one another, Kittu face looked forlorn for a moment before she forced a smile on her lips.
"It's Shraddha, she is awake."
