Well they may have made a mistake there.

Cozt they even stated Dabangg was an ATBB for ages even when asked if Ready or Bodyguard were ATBB, BOI replied saying Dabangg was last to reach that status.

Also ATBBs are judged on footfalls and distributors share. Dabangg was the last film which had it's Footfalls nearing 2 million. Chennai Express was about 1.8 million.

Good topic. But its like how much do u give "blah blah" out of 10.. 10 is the scale. Critics give reviews out of 5 stars but they also use 0.5 like 3.5 for this 4.5 for that. So they r also using 10 numbers.
ATBB is laughable coz its only given to  Sholay , HAHK, Gadar etc.. when the film's BO cant be surpassed for years.. Now, U will 3 ATBB in one year.. lπŸ˜†

It shud be only 5.

BB
Superhit
Average
Flop
Disaster

6th being ATBB if the film sustains its BO reign for 5 years.

I see.

Well in that case. It still ATBB is there for a purpose.

Not any film can gain that tag. That film must be very special in terms of total collections, distributors share and total footfalls.

ATBB are rare. So why get rid of that tag. Look at the films in that list. Mughal E Aazam, Sholay, HAHK etc... They all have contributed and influenced the Indian cinema in many way especially in Box Office matters.
