First most important is full fill babas wish and maintain his pride.
Which was went down the lane bcoz of astha.
The other way game..
Make fall in love thinking hate but is falling in love completely but just ingnoring to match up with character or past.
The way he replied to Anjali ..yes I am supporting astha bcoz u don't like her...proves it all..
He is doing all this to do the liking of his baba.
