Today's Take - Breaking an EMA - work in progress

Why is this show going off air?! It's such a cute show ... will really miss it!! 😭

Revolution in the ranks is sorted out very quickly ... we know why 😕 because there's no more time for Umaben's slow reformation. So Umaben has one flashback to her talk with Chhanchhan, tells RanSan that CC and Kaumudi got permission to change their clothes because of majboori, but she gives RanSan permission to change for their own happiness ... because she has seen the light 😆 ... umm, she saw that clothes do not maketh the woman, it's her sanskaar that maketh her.  Ranjana is happy, but not yet fully grateful to Chhanchhan. Liked the little touch of RanSan avoiding the issue in front of Umaben, so she asks Chhanchhan directly, knowing RanSan will not tell her out of fear, but CC will.

Guests arrive to invite Mugut for the business dinner, they get impressed with Kaumudi's new improved 'modern' look and talk to her in English.😆 Kaumudi of course doesn't understand a word, and makes a booboo ... Chhanchhan steps in and saves the situation. Mugut gets annoyed again and refuses to take Kaumudi for the dinner, because she doesn't understand English.
Umm, Mugut bhai, the solution for that sort of problem is an English teacher ... not an EMA.😡

Kaumudi cries ... UB and CC comfort her ... UB sends her to apologise to Mugut, to calm him down, CC agrees that's a good idea ... and follows Kaumudhi, with UB's permission ... cute UB-CC interaction and one more hug, with UB not quite so disgusted as the last time, and RanSan flummoxed.😆

CC follows Kaumudi and encourages her to sweet talk Mugut ... Kaumudi almost succeeds, Mayuri steps in with fake suicide call ... Mugut and Chhanchhan rush to Mayuri's house, where CC discovers the fake and exposes Mayuri ... Mugut disgusted but Mayuri manages to sweet talk him ...
So is it over or not yet? Not yet, it seems. Kaumudi still has to learn some English. 😛

Finally Chhanchhan manages to reach her room, where an anxious Manav awaits her with the news that his very scary MIL thinks he is the one having an EMA. 😆 Chhanchhan is most amused, promises she will handle her mom. And her dad ... and her Dadi ... and her brother ... all her assorted family ...
Very short ChhanMan scene today 😕 want more tomorrow ... but tomorrow is Rakhi. 

Drowsy.. will type laters.. I really need to get to typing the WU! hehe have a good mind to copy paste urs n put it up! I am really tied up with last min packing di! 😆 but I guess its no excuse when it comes to urs right now!!

anyway.. it was a cute episode and I enjoyed it on many counts!

I do agree the show is good but its olmost ending man show us Chhanman atleast rather then household &  this mayuri thing😕

But wanted to say, I don't know why they are ending this show. It has intelligence and logic. Notwithstanding initial snafus, this show has a lot of potential. Sad to know it is ending. I guess TRP audiences would rather watch suppression than progression?

That's the sad part ... such a pity!! And people actually go blue in the face justifying the saas in other show ... I can't understand it!

I am really feeling bad ... each episode of Chhanchhan is sensible and also an enjoyable watch ... rarely do the two go together hand in hand. I guess Indian audiences only want rona dhona, melodrama,  OTT heroes/heroines and villains, and silently suffering bahus who sacrifice their own dreams for their family as the height of mahaanta ... and can't use their brains to handle situations. Chhanchhan is a sensible smart girl ... so boring!!!

Wonder if Indian telly will ever progress from this thinking ... if the shows with good messages suffer this kind of fate and the regressive shows continue to rule the roost.

I guess in ight of the on-going drama in her elder son's life, Uma is more than willing to be flexible. Poor Kaumudi. I still don't understand how Mukut is going to take Mayuri to the dinner party. Really, what will he tell his colleagues who hold him in high esteem, Hey guys, this is my girlfriend. Yes, there is a Mrs Mukut Borisogar, but I didn't deem her fit to accompany me so I have brought my lover along. That would go really well, huh? This track isn't going to end too soon though. Because Mukut actually despises his wife, which you can;t change overnight. What did change overnight though was Mayuri's attitude. Why did she suddenly decide to lure Mukut back in? I hope we'll get more ChanMan scenes. They're so cute, and we never know if we'll see them together again.

so mugut is angry because kaumadi doesn't speak english??? What is in speaking english?? Why is it an issue everywhere??? Kaumadi is a housewife.. it really doesn't matter whether she speaks english or not. she speaks her language well and communicates to her family and friends (I am not sure if she has any!).. thats all that matters. why the ability or inability to speak a foreign language matters so much in our society??? how does it define smartness?? 

so UB agreed that RanSan can change their dresses, too and she doesn't need her husband's permission to allow them with that??? why this rush in transforming UB?

anyways, i feel so out-of-spirit that this show is going of air!

I think it was a combination of things ... Kaumudi has changed her external appearance, so the guests thought she was a 'modern' educated woman, because she looked smart and sophisticated ... so they spoke to her in English ... of course she couldn't understand. And Mugut got angry because he felt it reflected poorly on him.
So the first half of the transformation is successful, but if Kaumudi as a wife is expected to meet and mingle with her husband's friends and business associates, there is no harm in acquiring some polish and language skills ... it will do her good, any learning is never a waste. Most spouses do have to meet their husband's colleagues, and socialise with them ... it's good to learn the social skills required so they don't feel out of place. I'm glad the transformation has not stopped at just the appearance.

Rush in transforming UB ... we know the answer to that 😭
