Ekta had produced this serial called Kavita that ran for two some months. It was surprising to see Smriti Malhotra Irani in an Ekta project without absolutely any make up on.

Yea that's the f**ked up part.π I still can't believe how things have moved backwards instead of forward. Indian TV was highly progressive from early to late 90s. It started regressing in the early 2000s. π₯±Really? Which show is that? All I know of from this forum are shows with women dressed up in garish sarees and jewelry with heavy makeup.ππ

I blame Ekta Kapoor. Dude she basically turned the whole landscape of TV around and then Rajan Shahi made Bidaai and Yeh Rishta...I mean women don't make rotis and clean the house in new, expensive, designer saris, lods of gold and make-up and hair all styled. πI remember the days when shows like Ahaat, Ayushman, Just Mohabbat, Dil Se Dosti were on in the early 2000s and boy do I miss that genre and realism. Parampara was a family drama too but I don't remember it being so OTT. Damn, there used to be such a great variety. That the one show where the girl gets raped and is preggers but then goes into the coma. That was so progressive for that time period. Or Choodiyan and Heena and Yeh Meri Life Hai.

Yeah I remember watching the initial episodes. I know it was about two wives who end up moving to the same house after the death of their husband. The camaraderie between the kids and all the fights were interesting.π I didn't follow it through to its end though. So no idea what happened. π

It was one hell of a show at the time. As you said, the camaraderie between the kids was interesting. That is EXACTLY the reason why I was glued to the serial. π I am bad, I know. π I didn't watch it completely myself. I am doing so now - They post two episodes per week on YouTube. π
