Madhu could not sleep the whole night. There was something about Rishab that took everyone under his spell. The scenes of Mahavir and Rishab's fight were constantly going on in her mind. The way RK fought for her, the anger in his face...everything seemed so confusing for Madhu. She did not realize when she slept thinking about all this.

Sleep was far away from RK. He constantly kept thinking about the day's incidents. He was still feeling angry with Mahavir's attitude. The way he was talking to Madhu with the dirty lust in his eyes...RK could feel that the anger again crept in his mind. Then he remembered how Madhu applied the paste on his back. He could bet that she was shivering while applying it. "After all I am so irrestible" he thought and smirked.

Next morning Deepali was doing her usual chores when a maid came and said, "Bhabhijee, Bade Chaudhury saab aapko bula rahe hai...aapke bhaisaab ko bhi waha bulaya hai."

Deepali went there and found that almost everyone was present there. Far from from all of them in a corner was sitting a man with bandages almost over in his body. Deepali tried to recognize him but could not. She asked Balraj, "Baujee aapne bulaya?"

B- Haa, Bahu. Hume tumse shikayat karni hai.

D- Kaisi shikayat Baujee?

B- Yeh shikayat, tumhare bhai ke khilaaf hai.

D- Rishu ke khilaaf? Usne kya kiya hai Baujee?

B- Waha dekh rahi ho? (pointing at the man with bandage) Wo humare mitra Mahaveer Rathi hai. Kal tumhare bhai ne unhe itni buri tarah se peeta hai ki bechare ko kapdo ke bajay plaster pehnna pada hai. Ab tum batao ki hume tumhare bhai ka kya karna chahiye?

Deepali turned towards RK and asked, "Rishu, yeh sab kya hai? Tune Mahaveerjee ko kyun mara?"

Rishab explained whatever Mahaveer told Madhu yesterday. Madhu stood there with a red face due to shame. She really wanted to run away from there. When RK completed, Deepali looked at Balraaj.

B- Jo bhi ho Rishab beta. Yeh baatein humare ghar ki aur gaon ki hai na? Hume bhi inhe suljhaana aata hai. Har baat ka khatma maarpeet se nahi hota hai...Samjhe? Chalo ab jaldi se Mahaveer se maafi maang lo.

RK looked at him with shock. He could not understand why he has to ask for forgiveness where Mahaveer is clearly on the wrong side. He was about to protest when his eys met with Madhu's eyes. He could see the plea in her eyes that was incessantly telling him to ask for forgiveness. Suppressing his anger, RK forwarded towards Mahaveer and said, "Maaf kijiyega." He rushed to his room.

After a while when everything was calm, Madhu came to his room.

RK was facing his back towards Madhu. Madhu called, "Rishabjee."

The next moment she felt a huge force on her. RK pinned her to the wall and said, "Kyun Madhu? Kyun tum itni kamjor ho? Kyun tumne mujhe Unclejee se kuch kehne nahi diya?"

Madhu was trembling with fear due to RK's sudden outburst. Realising that he had been too harsh with her, Rk left her and once again faced his back towards her.

M- Wo Rishabjee, main nahi chahti thi ki meri wajah se aapko koi musinat ho.

RK- Musibat?

M- Rishabjee aap Baujee ko nahi jaante hain. Wo jarurat padne par kitne neeche gir sakte hai wo aapko nahi pata. Agar aaj aapne maafi nahi maangi hoti to shayad...

RK- Shayad kya Madhu?

M- Shayad Baujee ne aapko, jaan se hi maar di hoti.

RK- Kya?????

M- Haan, maine kaha na aapse, Baujee kuch bhi kar sakte hain...kuch bhi...

RK came a bit closer to Madhu and said, "Main marne ke liye bhi taiyaar hoon magar tumhare khilaaf ek bhi galat shabd nahi sun sakta hoon." Saying this he rushed out leaving a confused Madhu behind.

After two weeks...

Rishab was getting bored by sitting in the home. He also noticed that Madhu had maintained a distance from him from the past two weeks. So he decided that today no chor-char...today he is going to take a look of the village ofcourse with Madhu. He asked Deepali to convince Madhu to go with him.

When he was waiting outside for Madhu, he sensed someone behind him and turned back. He became awestruck when he saw Madhu in a light blue saree. It was so simple yet looked magnificient on her.

Madhu was a bit hesitant. She cleared her throat and said, "Bhabhi ne kaha ki aapko gaon ghumna hai? Aap bhaiya ke saath bhi to jaa sakte the?"

RK- Itne dino se tumhari aadat par gayi hai...ab ek sundar si ladki ke jagah par main kissi ladke ko to nahi bitha sakta na apne bike pe.

M- Bike pe?

RK- Haan, aaj main aur tum bike pe romance karenge priye...

M- Rishabjee, main bike pe nahi chadungi.

RK- kyun?

M- Wo, Rajveer bhaisa ekbaar mujhe apni bike pe bitha ke ghumaane le gaye the...tab humara accident hua tha aur mujhe bohot chot lagi thi. Tab se mujhe bike pe charne se dar lagta hai. Main nahi baithungi.

RK could not control his laughter and said, "Kitni darpok ho...kuch nahi hoga tumhe...baithke to dekho?? I promise tumhe nahi giraunga."

Madhu hesitated at first but finally gave in and sat behind Rishab. They roamed all over in the evillage and Rishab was surprised to see that the village was not that backdated as he thought to be, infact it was really modern. But only the Haveli was still so backdated that one cannot imagine living there. God knows how Madhu and Deepali survive there.

They went to the outskirts of the village. Suddenly Madhu told Rishab to stop.

RK- Kya hua Madhu aaise sunsaan jagah par kyun roka?

Madhu just smiled.

RK- Dekho, tum mere saaath kjabardasti karneki sochna bhi mat. Main tumhe apne aap ko haath bhi nahi lagane doonga. Samjhi...door raho mujhse...varna main chillaunga.

Madhu playfully whacked his arm and said, "Yaha aapki cheekh sunneko koi nahi hai...par dariye mat main kuch nahi karoongi..main bohot hi shareef hoon, naki aapki tarah jo har waqt flirt karte rehte hai. Main aapko wo mandir dikhaane layi thi." She pointed at a temple.

Both went near the temple.

RK saw that the boys were carrying girls in their arms and climbing the steps.

RK- Yeh ladki ko uthake kyun jaa rahe hai Madhu?

M- Kehte hai ki agar aap kissiko zindagi bhar khush rakhna chahte hai to usse apne baahon mein uthake andar bhagwanke murti ke saamne bithakar uski puja karwana hoga.(Chennai Express effect😉)

RK- Tum kabhi isske andar gayi ho?

M- Haan ekbaar Shiv mujhe yaha laya tha, Usne mujhe uthaya to nahi tha magar hum andar gaye the aur usne mera puja bhi karwaya tha.

RK- Madhu, mujhe tumse kuch kehna hai.

M- Kya?

RK- Mujhe uthake andar le chalo na...pleeessseee...

M- Majak mat kijiye Rishabje...bhagwan ko leke koi majak nahi...

RK- Iska matlab tum anahi chahti ki main zindagi mein khush rahoon...(he made a puppy face)

M- Fir se?? Aap yehi rukiye main Prasad laati hoon.

RK hold her hand and said, "Ek second ke liye apni aankhe band karo."

M- Kyun?

RK- Tum sawal bohot puchti ho. Please ek second ke liye apni aankhe band karo.

As soon as Madhu closed her eyes, RK picked her up and headed towards the temple and started to climbing the stairs. Madhu opened her eyes in shock and looked towards RK's face which showed no type of hesitation, as if it is quite normal to carry one's sister's sister-in-law in arms and climb the steps of a temple.
