The creative and writing team of Destroyed For Love has lately come under fire from several organizations for "promoting violence against women and portraying regressiveness." in an upcoming episode. We have learnt from several sources(whose names have been withheld on request) that the team has been asked to cut down several gory scenes in it's apparently "regressive" episode that is to be telecasted this Sunday.
The cast remains elusive. "No comments. I trust our writers," says Rehan Verma(Karanvir Bohra). Piya Rathod(Sukirti Kandpal), who features prominently in Episode 33, says, "I didn't find anything that bad in it. There are far more gruesome scenes in movies. Besides, I have never felt that Piya Rathod has been portrayed as a regressive heroine."
The team is perplexed by the turn of events. "I wonder how they can call us regressive instead of all the other soaps where the heroine sheds copious tears at the drop of a hat?" questioned a member, who chose to remain anonymous. Regardless, protests continued at the DFL office, forcing the makers to issue a disclaimer as and when the episode shall be aired.
Well, all we can do is wait and watch!
