Chennai Express Overseas First Week Collections : Crosses 75cr Mark :-

Chennai Express has broken all previous records and collected a Historic 75cr in Overseas markets in its first week itself. Film has set new benchmarks in UK, USA, UAE, Aus, Pakistan and Germany.

Film is the 4th highest grossing Bollywood film in in Overseas in just 7 days. It is only after 3 Idiots, My Name Is Khan and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. CE is likely to cross 100cr mark in Overseas by end of its run.

Verdict :- ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER.

Chennai Express 2nd Friday Collection Early Trends.

Chennai Express is not just breaking records at box office, but actually crushing records. It has collected around 155 crore nett in the first week itself. As coming to 2nd week that means Second Friday, film has started on slow note. That is expected because of various reason. First of course is that film is into second week. Plus, it is a normal working day. Holiday period is over. OUATIMD is also released which will be the first choice for moviegoers. But positive part is for Chennai Express is that it has able to retain around 1600 screens for second week. That means it has still potential to collect big in 2nd weekend.

As for 2nd Friday filmed opened to 25-30% occupancy in Morning shows. After that film has shown jump and it is now registering an occupancy of around 35-40% for afternoon and evening shows. In Mumbai occupancy of CE is around 30-35%. In Delhi occupancy is around 35-40%. In Gurgaon it is around 45%. In Hyderabad film is performing exceedingly well in 2nd Friday also with 70-80%+ occupancy registered.

We are still to receive major single screen report of CE for the day. Plus, night shows are yet to start. But looking at early trends film should collect in the vicinity of 6 crore nett. This are estimate and actual will vary depending on how night shows perform and what is the single screen report from interiors for the day.

Nope.. For CE needs to be nearer to 200 cr..
