It is unfair and unjust to start bashing a serial based on a promo.
No one is saying that it will revive the magic of season 1. They are asking you to give it a chance. No one is asking you to start writing FFs on the new season. They are just giving you a different take. No one is comparing it to the first season. Except, unfortunately, you yourself.
Come on people. Let's grow up and show some maturity. It is a different season with different leads. It is almost a new program except for the the name of the title and I think it is only fair that the makers get to cash in on the popularity of their show.
Why are we getting so jumpy? Sit back and enjoy the ride. And if you don't want to, don't. No need to be hateful about it, yes?

While I love your message, and also am against bashing and hatred, the issue here is something else.
It's of commercialisation of a show that went beyond being just another TV programme meant for casual viewing.
The new show as you said, carries none of the essence of the old.
There is no Arnav no Khushi, no Barun or sanaya. Not even Gul and 4 Lions.
So IPK now has become a brand name under which SP will push out different stories.
But for all of us IPK was love, passion and a dream.
Knowing how deeply the viewer sentiments were entwined with this show, SP has decided to market it. And get made TRP churning shows under its name
But stories like IPK, and viewership like this, the passion and commitment it generated, cannot be designed and mass produced like this.
Hence all the angst !
