I know I should be updating my FF. But this idea popped in my head while I was listening to Yaariyan from Cocktail. Hope you guys like it
It was the most fateful day of his life. Arnav Singh Raizada sacrificed his love because she told him that if he truly loved her he would let her go and here he was four months later to meet her for the last time which coincidently was her wedding day. Two days back the Raizada house had received a wedding invitation of Khushi Kumari Gupta and Abhimanyu Singh. Arnav was totally shattered when he heard that his Khushi would belong to someone else in just two days. His Khushi, did he even deserve to call her as his, he thought wryly. The thought of living his whole life without her robbed him of his breath.

He entered the wedding hall and saw the grandeur oozing out
of each and everything. This is what Khushi had wanted for her wedding. This was her dream wedding. A wedding which had all the rituals she so religiously believed. He took slow painful steps to where his love, his life stood in her bridal wear looking like an angel that she was. If it was in his hands he would bargain everything damn thing he had to go back in time and correct everything he had done. He wanted to see her for the last time before he went far away from her. He wanted to take an image of her in his eyes which would last with him for his entire lifetime. She was looking happy and had the glow on her face which every bride has. Her nose, about which he had teased her in happier times, was red. This was a sign that he did not have any space in her life as there was another person in her life who would make her blush and keep her like princess, give her the respect and love she deserved. Her thousand watt smile still made his heart skip a beat and now it was not for him but only for her soon to be husband. Truth, as people said, is very bitter.
Khushi felt wind blow and a familiar sensation hit her senses which happened only when he was close. She shrugged it off thinking it
to be her nervousness. When she looked up she saw him standing in one corner of the hall away from the crowd. 'So typical him,' she thought. But what she saw made her breath hitch. She saw a defeated Arnav and not the ruthless ASR who had ruined her life. His eyes were full of tears and he was looking directly at her with all the love, affection and guilt in his eyes.

completely supported her when the truth about their marriage had been revealed. His Di's cutting words still rang in his ears,
Mana tumne yeh sab hume protect karne ke liye kiya par ye koi waja nahi kisi ki zindagi kharab karne ki. Agar aaj maa zinda hoti na Arnav toh woh bahut nirash ho jaati ki unke bete ne aisi harkat ki.Hum tumhe kabhi maaf nahi kar sakte. Shayad khushiji tumhe maaf bhi karde par hum sab tumhe kabhi maaf nahi karenge."
That was the last time his family had talked to him and he had welcomed their cold behaviour because he knew that he deserved nothing less than this. His family didn't know that he was here today. He had decided two days back that after her wedding he would leave for London and never return back. He felt as if he was the reason of the pain his Khushi and his family were going through. He had handed over all his work and property to his Di and Akash. He didn't want to live in a world where she wasn't with him. He wrote a letter and gave it to a little boy and asked him to give it to the bride.
Khushi was really happy that finally she was having a second
chance in life. It was not that she didn't love Arnav but it was of no use
crying over a relation which didn't have trust in it. She had so badly wanted
to give Arnav a second chance but her heart was brutally crushed and broken in very small pieces that she didn't have the courage to give her heart to him on a platter to have it broken again. It had taken a lot of effort on her part to forget her past and start a new life with Abhimanyu. She trusted Abhimanyu because she had tested him a lot of times and he proved every single time that he was nothing like her Arnavji. Try as hard as she might, she just couldn't get him out of her mind. Something about his demeanor told her that everything was not the way Anjaliji told her. Anjaliji had told her that he had a meeting so he didn't come. But the fact that he was here and his family did not even notice was something she could not digest. She felt that something was wrong. He looked unwell, his eyes had dark circles around them and he was thinner than the last time she saw him. When she had left she knew one thing that whatever be the
situation his family was there with him. They would help him to move on and take away the guilt which he had even after she had forgiven him. But
everything was the exact opposite of what she thought. He still had that guilty and self-loathing look in his eyes. She hated to see him defeated, guilty, and lost. She had always liked the strong, proud and enigmatic Arnav. It gave her a sense of relief that the 14 year old boy was safe from this cruel world. But seeing his vulnerable side she felt she had left him unprotected against the ruthless world. She was brought out of her thoughts by a nudge from Abhimanyu. He had a piece of paper in his hand which he was holding in front of her, waiting for her to take it.
give this to the bride." Abhimayu said pointing towards the little boy who had given him the paper.
"Hume yeh khat kisne diya hoga? Hum toh yaha kisiko thik se
jaante bhi nahi." Khushi said getting suspicious about the writer of the
letter.
She opened the letter, it read,
Dear Khushi,
Congratulations on your wedding. I'm really happy for you. At last you
are getting your dream wedding, isn't it? I must say tum aaj bohot sundar lag rahi ho. Abhimanyu bohot lucky hai jo use tum jaisi life partner mili. Mai nahi janta Khushi ki aaj mujhe ye sab kehna chahiye ya nahi par agar maine aaj nahi kaha toh kabhi nahi keh paunga. Mai jaa raha hun Khushi tumhari zindagi se dur. Yehi hum dono ke liye aur baki sab ke liye sahi hai. Maine bohot hurt kiya hai tumhe, itna ki shayad mai khud ko kabhi maaf nahi kar paunga. I am really sorry for that Khushi. Mai tumhari maafi ke layak nahi hun but agar ho sake toh mujhe maaf kardo. Tum soch rahi hogi ki aaj laad governer ko aaj kya ho gaya aisi baatein kyun kar raha hai. Par yahi sach hai Khushi, tumne badal diya hai mujhe. Pichle chaar mahino mein maine jana hai ki family ek insane ki life mein kya importance rakhti hai. Mujhe samajh mein aaya ki rishte kitne important hote hai. Aur ye bhi jana ki jab rishte toot jate hai toh kitni takleef hoti hai.
Please Khushi isse padh ke rona mat tum janti ho mujhe tumhare aasuon se kitni nafrat hai. Bas itna yaad rakhna ki jo kuch bhi hua usme tumhari koi galti nahi hai. Aur mujhe dhondne bhi mat aana. It would not be fair on Abhimanyu. Usne tumhe sab kuch jaanne ke baad bhi apnaya hai. He is really a nice guy aur mai nahi chahata ki phir se meri wajah se tumhari life spoil ho jaaye. Abhimanyu ko apnane mein kabhi mat jhijakna. Mai jaanta hun ki tum bhi use pyaar karti ho par bata nahi paa rahi ho. Aisa mat karo Khushi. Daro mat bas apne dil ki baat use bata do. Dil ki baat dil mein rakhne se saamne wale ko bohot dukh hota hai aisa tum hi kehti ho na.
Khushi. Waise hi jhalli, thodi pagal bani rehna kyunki yahi Khushi Kumari Gupta ki pehchan hai.. All the best for your life Khushi, apna aur baaki sab ka dhyan rakhna and once again congratulations. Ho sake toh mujhe aur hamare rishte ko ek bura sapna samajh ke bhul jana.

Tear were flowing down her cheeks when she finished reading the letter. She could not believe her laad governer was leaving because he thought it was best for her and wanted her to forget him just like that. She was going to find him and give him a tight slap and tell him to be the angry ASR and shout at her for marrying somebody else. She could tolerate his anger because it was a habit. But how could she handle this defeated and guilt-ridden Arnav who was ready to destroy his own life just to see her happy.
