Beautiful loved it read all the parts in one go
There aren't a lot more chapters left of this FF. I think there'll be a few more then I shall be wrapping this FF up. So here goes the next chapter.
That night Arnav tossed and turned in bed he just could not sleep due to the heat. He had long before stopped sleeping with the AC on courtesy of Khushi. That night was another one of those nights. Sleeping against a figure that was constantly tossing and turning meant that Khushi too was now wide awake but pretending to sleep. She could not sleep peacefully knowing that Arnav was not able to sleep. She moved away from him thinking that if she moved away maybe he'd feel a little less hot.
After what felt like forever Arnav stopped tossing and turning and laid peacefully asleep. Khushi got up and stared at his face. She had missed looking at that face for so long. Every night she had made do with looking at his picture and clutching that close to her heart. Never did she think she'd be here again. It was just far too overwhelming. She lightly traced his face with her index finger. Despite how many times she did that it was never enough. Her need to be with him, look at him and touch him always was just too insatiable too ever suffice.
Arnav started to stir so she quickly laid down on the bed and pretended to be asleep once more. And then Arnav shot up in the bed screaming Khushi. Khushi was just about to get up and turn the light on when she felt him reach out for her on her side of the bed. He reached out and found her next to him he heard her breathe a sigh of relief at that. She then felt his breath on her neck. He started to kiss her entire face. He covered her entire face with kisses at the same time clinging on to her for dear life. It took Khushi a few seconds to comprehend what was going on. But then she realised what happened. He had been having a nightmare. A nightmare that she had left him. And it was at that moment that Khushi realised that she had not been the only one suffering all those years. He had been too. He had been going through hell for the past few years just like her.
She did not want to let him know that she was awake so whilst pretending to sleep she took her hand almost as if subconsciously and held on to the top of his jumper in a death like grip. She could feel him moving her closer to him. So close that not even a sheet of paper would be able to get in between them. He then kissed her one more time before he whispered in her ear 'I love you Khushi more than my life. Please don't ever leave me again. I love you' and with that he held her hand in a death like grip and fell asleep finally reassured that she was still there.
It's funny thought Khushi how every girl waits for that special someone to come into their lives. As crazy and unbelievable as it sounds sometimes Khushi felt as though she loved Arnav since the day she was born she just didn't know it back then. Khushi had always believed that we are made with two of almost everything but at the same time we are made with only half a heart because the other half was beating in someone else's heart rhythmically waiting for you to find it and claim it as your own. Khushi had known that she had been in love with the guy who owned the other half of her heart she just hadn't known who that guy was until now. Looking into his eyes she could see her future. She could see herself old wrinkly shrivelled up and grey. Most women would be terrified of seeing themselves like that in a man's eyes but Khushi was not. Because even though she saw herself like that she knew that even when she became old and grey she would still look at herself through the eyes of the man who thought she was more beautiful than life itself. Even though when she looked in his eyes she saw herself as a shrivelled up lady she could see the laughter lines around her eyes. And that made her happy because she knew that she was going to be spending many happy years to come with the man sleeping beside her. Looking into his eyes she saw herself as a frail old lady but she knew she had become frail as a result of living, laughing, having fun and walking up the stairs to go to sleep beside the love of her life every night.
So yes though most girls would be afraid to see their future in the eyes of a man she was not. She was euphoric. Because in his eyes she could see all her dreams come true and what girl would not want that. As she felt Arnav subconsciously move her closer to himself an overwhelming feeling of love rushed shot through Khushi. It was hard to believe that this man right her next to her was the answer to all her prayers. It just went to show how strong faith really was. Anything's possible if you believe it is. And finally feeling complete Khushi went to sleep with a smile on her face…
The next morning Khushi woke up and tried to get out of bed but realised that she could not because Arnav still had her hand held in a death lie grip. She tried to yank it out and from the sudden feeling of emptiness Arnav sat bolt upright once again screaming 'Khushi!'. Khushi knew that he had another nightmare. So she said nothing she just went up to him and motioned for him to stand up. He stood up like she ordered. Once he got up Khushi held her arms wide open for him in an affectionate manner. Immediately Arnav complied and buried his face into her hair. Khushi did nothing for the longest amount of time. She just held him and made soothing rubbing movements with her hands on his back. After the longest time she withdrew looked him dead in the eyes and said 'Aap sapna nahee dekhrahain. Hum saach main yaha hain. Aur apki saath ab poori zindagi betayengeh samjeh' she said as she leaned forward and kissed him on the check before going in to the bathroom to get ready.
Arnav just stood amazed wondering how had she known what was running through his head. She was amazing he thought and she is all mine he thought as he smiled and got back into bed waiting for Khushi to finish in the bathroom
