@Indu: I loved your point about the kids! I have been noticing this as well. They are not just props or novelty entertainment on this show but their own little characters that play an essential role in the story. We have seen more of Ansh so far because he is more talkative and has gotten exponentially more screen time but Payal and Palak have made their mark as well, especially in the consequences of nobody properly explaining Aarti's role in their lives to them.

@Indu and Jyo: Your discussion is making my stomach flutter and melting my heart like butter! Big smile

@Opti: I loved the observation you made that Aarti putting her mark on the left side left room for nobody after her. She would be the last woman in Yash's life!

Haven't been able to come on the forum much. :( Have family visiting. Wonderful reads though.Clap

Yesterday's was one of the best episodes for me.

To me, the handprint scene was so poignant and so significant. To me it was about preserving identities.  Yash and Aarti two souls - they are so lost without their partners because along with their partners they also lost a part of their identities.

Identities are not just formed based on the different roles you play in life. Identities are also formed by important people present in your life. Prashant and Arpita had played very important roles in shaping Aarti and Yash into the people they are today.

Gayatri did major damage not just to Aarti's identity but also to Yash's sense of identity by demanding Aarti be called Arpita.  When Yash went to escort Aarti from her room by calling her Aarti in front of everyone he to some extent restored Aarti's identity. Similarly, yesterday when Aarti was asked to place her print over Arpita's and she placed it next to Arpita's, I felt she returned the favor to Yash by giving him back his identity that was of what Arpita meant to him in his life.

There were so many wonderful scenes in the episode but for me the most touching scene was when Yash extends his hand as if to stop Aarti from placing her print over Arpita's. Coming from a man who is shown to internalize everything even that small overt gesture spoke volumes about his pain and his hopelessness.  I don't think Aarti's reaction of placing her hand print next to Arpita's instead on top, had anything to do with Ansh at all.  The way I saw it, she reacted purely the way someone would react when they can't see someone they care deeply about in pain. Aarti and Yash are both kindred spirits. In that moment what she saw was the pain of a man who was deeply affected by his loss just as much as she was by hers. And I think it was why I was so touched by that scene because she was not thinking as a mother that her actions could have positive repercussions in Ansh's and Yash's relationship. She was solely thinking  of Yash and sparing him pain. Ah! Soulmates and they don't even know it yet. Embarrassed

Angake: Some wonderful thoughts there. ClapYou know, the more I think of that hand printing scene, the more sure I am that Aarti would have in any case bypassed Arpita's prints. But she wanted to assess Yash's reaction. And the vibes coming from Yash and the apparent pain she saw in the side glances sort of confirmed to her that what she was going to do was the right thing. As for Yash, I can't help but sympathize with him...leave alone his entire clan who was there, even his own mother couldn't fathom how painful it must've been for him to have to witness such an act...they didn't even bother to consult him. And here was this almost stranger who gauged his pain by just a side glance and spared him the agony...aha...the souls are so in tuning...only the music left to be heardBig smile
