"Why can't he atleast give me a Yellow rose. After all we are friends for so long.." Khushi was so confused. She didn't want to think on this matter, but her heart was not in her favour.

Her thoughts met a sudden end by Kumkum's entry.

"The entry was fabulous, believe me!" Sumit said in excietement.

"Oh God! I tell you, Tom Cruise is just aweome. You must watch Mission Impossible, Arnav"

But no reply came from the other side.

"Arnav..." Getting no reply, he turned about and found a thoughtful Arnav, peeping out of the window into a flower bed just infront.

"Hey, I'm talking to you, not to the walls, Are you here" Sumit said moving towards him.

But he got no reply in return.

Sumit was now worried.

"Are you OK?" He gently put his hand on his shoulder, which made Arnav come back to his senses.

"Aaa...yeah, what? Are you saying something..." Arnav tried to handle the situation, but all his effort went in vain. He was caught.

"I'm talking to you for so long...but I think you are not interested. You seem to be lost somewhere" Sumit said with concern, "Is everything OK?"

"Yeah, ofcourse!" He tried to get up and leave, but Sumit stopped him.

"Thinking of Khushi, right?" Sumit's words were enough to make him sit again on the lounge.

Taking a deep breath " Yeah! I'm scared... I'm scared if I'll lose her"

Now Sumit got what the matter was.

"Listen, how many times I've told you, to tell her the truth. Tell her what you feel for her."

"No...that's not possible. I can't tell her at this stage. If I do, I may lose my best friend too"

"No.. you won't. Just go and tell her, like the way I did" Sumit said getting impatient.

"What!" Khushi jumped off her arm-chair, "Did he really tell you that he loves you."

"Hmmm..." Kumkum shyly could hum only this.

"You mean, Sumit has proposed you" she said with her eyes all widen and in a great astonishment.

Kumkum couldn't take it anymore..."Why are you so surprised? Can't Sumit fall in love?"

Khushi was still standing with her eyes widen and jaws dropped.

"Hey.." Kumkum shrugged her shoulders as tight as she could. "What happened"

"Sumit... OH GOD! He proposed you! " She was in a great shock "How come this magic happen?"

Kumkum hit her on her head and narrated her the entire story.

*Flashback*

She packed her small lacy bag, rather call it a purse, and was almost getting up, when she found a tight grip on her hand.

Before she could guess anything, he took out a beautiful rose from his pocket and put it inside a small card, and forward it to her.

With these words, he left, without even looking back.
