Welcome peeepss! 😎

the holidays are here
so it is time for celebration...

Let us start off with a story!

One evening before Christmas Eve, Santa and the elves were sitting around the fireplace in Santa's Den.

Bonnie, sad that her job was almost over for the year, said, ""Santa u should read the letters send to u by different kids around the world"

Santa agreed and said "Yeah Bonnie, this time we had some very fine interesting letters from some good souls, will u read it for me."

Bonnie nodding his head took the bundle of letters written for Santa and started reading them.

Bonnie took the first letter and started to read it

Bonnie after reading it looked at Santa and asked him "Santa, this girl didn't ask for any gift but she just asked to keep every one around her happy. What u will do?"

Santa:No bonnie we can't agree it and indeed they were the real wishes , which are to be fulfilled . We will visit her and bless her.

Bonnie smiled.

Bonnie took another letter from the bundle and started to read it ...

Bonnie:Now what will u do

Santa:John's brother was little and love teddy bear a lot, so i will gift it to him and also keep a greeting card along his bed.

Dear Santa,

Like every year again you have come with your big bag full of gifts and your much awaited "Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas" greetings to let us know that the warmth of Christmas and it's extravaganza has yet made another entry into our lives to abate the winter's chilly shrill. Your red avatar and your amicable approach towards us by the chimneys, your jingle bell sounds of the deer-cart on which you have ridden and distributed your gifts and the excited feeling of the unprecedented gifts really gives Christmas it's aesthetic appeal and individuality. So here dear Santa, is my wish for the coming year and I want only contention and satisfaction. I want nothing from you but just pray that I stay satisfied with whatever I have and always stay happy. May the smile on my face never get eclipsed like the moon under the black clouds and that it may shine every time with an illuminating, eclectic feel of self dependency and contention. This is the key to the treasure of happiness and utmost faith upon oneself and the universe. May I enjoy each and every bit of my present hoping for a flourishing future, shedding off all glimpses of sadness and grief of the past.

Thank you for coming and hoping to see you again next year with a bag full of hopes and eyes full of eagerness and enthusiasm of seeing content facial expressions.

With best regards,

Edward

Bonnie looked at Santa and said "This boy looks funny, he was mostly thanking u"

Santa:That was the meaning of a pure soul Bonnie. Let me give him his favorite book as a gift to him.

Bonnie took one more letter and read it

Bonnie said "Thank Jesus! at least I got one correct wish."

Santa:Why Bonnie don't u think the remaining wishes are meaning less.

Bonnie:No Santa, but they didn't ask for any thing .

Santa:why they didn't ask , they did ask, they did ask to fulfill the happiness in their houses and heir surroundings. If every one wish like that the earth will become heaven .

Bonnie confused took one more letter and read it...

As they all continued they mostly had some wishing for the goodness fo their family and some containing wishes asking for some gifts.

As Bonnie reached the final letter he took it and read it ...

Bonnie completed reading all the letters and gave a sigh of relief and all the elves who was listening to the letters went into Santa store room and collected all the gifts necessary and greetings for each and every one. Santa packed them and was about to go, when the Elves wished to go along with Santa for distributing toys.

Now Santa thought and thought for a moment, and then he got an idea. "Why, you can all go with me on my journey around the world Christmas Eve," said Santa, with a twinkle in his eye. "You can go on Santa's Christmas Eve Travels with me"

The over whelmed elves joined him on the vehicle and Santa before starting said them...
"On Christmas Eve, you can all go on the journey around the world with me,"In fact, you can even help me. It's not easy delivering presents to all the boys and girls around the world before daybreak."

Santa started his sleigh and started to move from one house to other around the world, landing the sleigh on the top of the roof and giving the children gifts.

A very excited Bonnie said "wow , it was really great"

Hopping down chimneys and tiptoeing through doors big and small, the elves helped Santa Claus deliver toys to all the good girls and boys around the world.

Then, something happened. Santa was delivering toys at one house and a child woke up. "We've got to get Santa out of there!" exclaimed Bonnie.

"We can't let a child see Santa!" exclaimed one of the elf, already some of the elves dissapeared from there, and a confused Bonnie not knowing what to do took some powder from his pocket and thinking it to be the magic dust threw it on Santa. The child opened his eyes and founding no one went again to bed, Bonnie with a sigh of relief looked for Santa but suddenly a voice came and said "Bonnie u people all are lost now, u sprayed the wrong powder on Santa and u all people were separated and were lost from each other."

Bonnie:"forgive me divine, I didn't mind it, There was a mistake form me, but what to do now."

"People will find you all and will join you together Don't worry"

Boughs and bells

X-mas Decoration tips:

During Christmas every one takes some efforts to decorate his/her home in their own style. Some opt for the extravagant decorations while others opt for simple ones. Here are some tips and ideas to make it all easy for you.

Easy, Quick Ideas:

-- Create a charming display of teddy bears dressed for the season. Gather together three or more teddy bears and arrange them on a table or on the floor in a corner. Dress the bears with touques, scarves and mittens. Place candy canes in their hands or tie bows around their necks. You can even wrap up some small, empty boxes with Christmas wrapping paper to place in the bears' hands.

-- Display a collection of nativity scenes from different cultures.

-- Make simple bows from Christmas print ribbon and pin them to your curtains.

-- Hang a collection of Christmas stockings on your mantle, a shelf or the wall (even if you don't stuff them). The more the merrier when it comes to nice christmas decorations.

-- Revisit your childhood. Cut snowflakes from white paper and hang them in all of your windows.

-- Buy a clear plastic shower curtain. Use a hot glue gun to attach Christmas decorations to the outside of the curtain. Don't use breakable ornaments - instead, try small wooden or plastic ornaments (remove any hooks), bows, garland, etc.

-- Use red and green 3-dimensional fabric paints to trace simple Christmas patterns (like stars, bells, Santas, stockings, etc.) on a white tablecloth.

-- Dress up your house plants - hang small Christmas ornaments on them.

-- Tie a red ribbon around a tall, slim drinking glass. Fill the glass with candy canes and display on a shelf or side table.

-- Purchase plain green or red place mats and attach Christmas ribbons, bows or small wooden ornaments with a hot glue gun.

-- Decorate plain red, white, green or gold candles with 3-dimensional fabric paint. Draw stars, bells, angels, snowmen, etc. If you make a mistake, let the paint dry and peal it off, then start again.

-- Add color to a room with vases of red and white flowers. Use roses, carnations, mums, daisies, etc. Or, float the flowers in large crystal or glass bowls.

-- Wrap an assortment of medium to large sized boxes with Christmas wrap. Attach ribbons and/or bows. Pile the boxes in a corner from floor to ceiling.

-- Cover an end table or a shelf with white paper. Arrange cut evergreen boughs on to cover the table top. Place tall tapered candles in glass candleholders here and there on the table top

-- Hang mistletoe everywhere. Use false or fresh mistletoe. This is classic christmas decorations.

Crafts and Ornaments

Seed Bead Ball Ornament

Seed Bead Ball Ornament

What you'll need:

  • Glass ball ornament
  • White craft glue
  • Wide paintbrush
  • Seed beads
  • Bowl
  • String for hanging

How to make it:

  1. Place the seed beads into a bowl.
  2. Pipe glue all over the ornament and spread it around with a paintbrush, creating an even coat.
  3. Hold the ornament by the hanger and roll it around in the seed beads. The beads will stick to the ornament, but you can lift beads with your fingers and sprinkle them on to fill any missed spots. (See photo.)
  4. Run some string through the ornament hanger and hang somewhere safe to dry.

Easy Layered Christmas Tree

Easy Layered Christmas Tree

What you'll need:

  • Jumbo craft stick
  • Brown acrylic paint
  • 3 shades of green felt, dark, regular and light
  • Gold felt
  • Scissors
  • Felt glue
  • 8" piece of yarn
  • Pattern

How to make it:

  1. Paint craft stick brown and set aside to dry.
  2. Cut triangles from three different shades of green felt using the pattern(see image).
  3. Cut a star from the gold felt.
  4. Glue the felt triangles to the brown stick, starting at the bottom. Leave some of the bottom of the stick exposed as the tree trunk (see image).
  5. Glue the star to the top of the tree (see image).
  6. Fold yarn into a loop and glue to the back of the craft stick.

Tips: You can use glitter glue to add shiny garland!

Drip Ball Ornament

Drip Ball Ornament

What you'll need:

  • Glass ball ornaments
  • Acrylic craft paint in holiday colors
  • Empty egg carton
  • Ribbon for hangers
  • Water
  • Paintbrush
  • Clear glaze spray suitable for glass

How to make it:

  1. Remove the hanger top from each ornament and set aside.
  2. Place egg carton upside down and place ball ornaments in the middle of four egg cups to act as your holder (see image).
  3. Place some paint in a palette and water the paint down until it begins to drip off the paintbrush (see image).
  4. Keep the paint palette close to your egg carton holder. Dip paintbrush into the watered down paint, picking up a generous amount. Move the paintbrush to the top of the ornament immediately. Place a dollop of paint onto the ornament. If it doesn't begin to drip down, add some more paint until it does. Continue this technique around the ornament, alternating colors as well. When finished, allow the ornaments to dry completely (see image)
  5. Once the ornaments are dry, replace the hanger tops and tie ribbon in place.
  6. Hang ornaments on a dowel or strong twig, and then in a well-ventilated area, spray with clear glaze spray. Let dry completely.

Tips:

  • Using the egg carton as a holder will cause the paint to stop where the paint drips down and meets the egg carton. You can avoid this by hanging the ornaments on something sturdy while you paint, just be sure that you have newspaper below to catch the drips.
  • The thicker the paint, the darker your drips will be. If you would like lighter drips, simply thin out the paint more.
  • If you paint simply won't drip, you will need to add more water. Test by holding the paintbrush directly above the paint palette. The paint should begin to drip within 3 seconds.

Jingle Bell Wreath

Jingle Bell Wreath

What you'll need:

  • Craft wire, 16 gauge is best
  • 50-60 12-mm jingle bells (we used 52)
  • 12" medium ribbon
  • 6" thin ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Wire cutter

How to make it:

  1. To bend the craft wire into a half circle, wrap it around a jar or drinking cup. Bend one end of the wire into a loop by twisting the wire around itself (see image).
  2. String as many bells onto the wire as you can from the end that is not looped (see image).
  3. Poke the straight end of the wire through the looped end and twist several times to join together, creating the wreath (see image).
  4. Wrap wide ribbon around the joined wire to hide it. Tie ribbon into a bow and trim the excess (see image).
  5. Tie a piece of thin ribbon around the top of the wreath as the hanger.

Baked Honey Ham

Baked Honey Ham

USP: A glazed ham adds a festive sparkle to your holiday table.

Easy Quotient: It's already cooked. You're just glazing it and warming it up. But no one needs to be told that it was that simple.

Ingredients

  • 10 lb (5 kg) fully (or partially) cooked bone-in smoked ham
  • whole cloves, if desired
  • 1 cup (250 mL) brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup (150 mL) orange juice
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) honey
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) grated orange zest

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C).
  2. If the ham has thick skin, slice off the top layer, leaving about 1/4-inch (.5 cm) of fat on the meat. Place, fat-side-up on a rack in a roasting pan. With a sharp knife, score the fat in a criss-cross pattern and poke a whole clove into each square, if desired. Pour water into the roasting pan to 1/4-inch (.5 cm) deep. (The water should not touch the ham -- if the rack is too low, just add enough water to cover the bottom of the pan.) Place in the oven and roast, uncovered, for 20 minutes per pound or approximately 3-1/2 hours.
  3. While the ham is roasting, make the glaze. In a small saucepan, stir together the brown sugar, orange juice, honey, mustard and orange zest. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. About 45 minutes before the ham is finished roasting, brush with some of the glaze. Continue to baste with the glaze every 10 minutes until the ham is done. (A meat thermometer should read 135 degrees F or 57 degrees C when poked into the thickest part of the ham.) Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
