No Gauri did not hide the truth but her version of the story was indeed half truth and a very biased perspective:
1. G cleverly hid J's pretext for breaking up with A---which was Anandi being gawar and uneducated and not suited for his city life. Any sane woman will see that this is the most disgusting reason for dumping one's wife🤢!! Shivaniji can now very well see who is the victim and who is at fault here.
2. G portrayed a very negative picture of the Singh family as torturing and mistreating in-laws. Assuming that G was a victim of in-laws maltreatment, Shivani sympathized with G. Now Shivani knows how good the Singh family is as in-laws and her sympathy for G has evaporated.
3. G portrayed Anandi as a evil, scheming woman no less than a sinister villain. Now that Shivani has seen Anandi for herself, and knows that's wrong, she is evidently questioning Gauri's intentions and character. This happens in real life too-----suppose you badmouth your rival very badly to a friend who has never met your rival. Now if your friend gets to meet that rival and sees for herself that the rival is actually a very good person, your friend is going to form a bad impression about you only.
4. Shivani played G's mentor and supported her, precisely because G portrayed herself as the most wronged against victim and a pitiable woman. G always wallows in self-pity and loves to present herself a victim to everyone, consequently she does manage to gather some sympathy from unsuspecting people. Now that Shivani sees the picture clearly, she knows exactly who the victim is and who deserves the real sympathy! Her sympathy for G has surely waned away! 😆
