India's biggest reality show, Sarkaar Ki Duniya,
is a unique show where the greed for lucre enables teamwork, hard work,
transforming the Island into a habitable place and mostly transforming
each of the contestants as they battle out with their egos and the
natural environment.
An exotic location, an autocratic ruler, 18 greedy contestants and a pot of gold!
Sarkaar Ki Duniya is a reality show that plays on the basic human traits of
greed and self preservation. The show extracts 18 strangers of diverse
professional backgrounds from their existing lives and injects them in
an island ruled by the autocratic 'Sarkaar'. The contestants are going
to need every bit of ingenuity, tact and manipulative skills to survive
the harsh rules of the island.
Last person standing wins a Mega
Cash Prize of Rs.1 crore! They have left behind their routine lives to
arrive at this island and re-learn the lessons of life.
Lesson # 1 This is no vacation in an exotic resort. In the Island their real life
will be replicated - to stay in the game, they have to first earn the
much sought after ginni.
Lesson# 2 Team work. Individual V/S team goals. Unfortunately for the 18, they
have to work together to complete the set tasks or else they all loose. A task completed in time means they all get to earn the precious ginnis.
Lesson# 3 Giving back to society. In the real world, this is an ideal lost
between the pages of a book. In Sarkaar Ki Duniya, this is a reality.
Each task is an island improvement task, leading to better living
conditions as nature is harnessed to provide for Man.
Lesson # 4 Nature is a hard teacher. The harsh natural environment teaches these
city slickers how to survive in the wild, helping each other and throws
them in situations that unleash powerful emotions that they never
thought they were capable of feeling. They learn to cope.
Lesson # 5 As you sow, so you reap. In the starkness of nature, good and bad are
both highlighted and rewards and punishment are meted out swiftly. And
that, in the end, there can be only 1 winner.
All these lessons
are being driven by 1 man - the owner of the Island - the autocratic
Sarkaar. He understands human emotions and life like no other, perhaps
his isolation from the rest of the world has made him so keenly
perceptive. Hidden under his harsh demeanor is the altruistic motive of
teaching the contestants the value of teamwork.
Ashutosh Rana, a well known film personality, fits the character of Sarkaar perfectly,
playing him to perfection. His commanding voice and powerful screen
presence will keep the viewers riveted and engrossed in the show.
Accompanying Ashutosh in Sarkaar Ki Duniya are some Real People with extraordinary
stories, a woman army captain, who left behind the disciplined life of
the Army, a mother of two who left behind her lovely family and the
comfort of home, a Bengali film actress who are among the other such
extraordinary contestants from diverse backgrounds with one objective in mind β To be the last person standing and win Rs 1 Crore.
Sarkaar Ki Duniya is set on a 13.5 acres island on the Kalinadi River,
encircled by a string of mangroves, which makes it the BIGGEST SET ever
created in the history of Indian television. It took 56 days and 115
people working round the clock to complete the set, with material being
brought from across the country. There will be a 250 member crew working on the production for the next 4 months.
