Part 5
It was around three in the night when Geet sprang in bed. She was hungry and wanted to watch a movie. She didn't know whether to wake up Maan or not. He had to leave early tomorrow morning to Amritsar with Dadima and he needed a good sleep! Hence she decided to walk up and make something in the kitchen. But then
She realised that she can't get up without help. Her belly was swollen and she was like a whale; heavy and huge! She had to wake up Maan now.
She rose herself from the bed and rested her self against the bed's headrest. She switched on the lights of the room illuminating it.
Geet: "Maan..."
She got a no response; hence she decided to tap his shoulder; she called out to him again;
Geet: "Maan..."
Maan: "Geet kya hua? Kahin tumhe kuch ho to nahi raha na? Main doctor ko bula ke lata hoon. Kahin labour pain to nahi ho raha na? Hum abhi hospital chalte hai."
Geet: "Ab main kuch bolu?"
Maan: "Huh?" he gave a bewildered expression.
Maan: "Matlab kya hai tumhara?"
Geet: "Mujhe bhook lagi hai?"
Maan: "Raat ke 3 baje tumhe bhook lagi hai?"
Geet: "Kisne kaha ki raat ke 3 baje mujhe bhook nahi lag sakti?"
Maan: "Theek hai Geet. Kya khaana hai tumhe?" he said getting up from the bed.
Geet: "Mujhe na pasta khaana hai. Wo bhi sirf aapke haath ka bana."
Maan: "Tumhe pasta khaana hai? Pakka tumhe chatapata khaana nahi hai ya ice cream nahi khaani hai?"
Geet: "Maine aapse keh diya na; mujhe pasta khaana hai matlab pasta khaana hai. Samjhe aap?" she replied shaking her index finger in front of him!
Maan: "Theek hai Geet! Main abhi banake lata hoon tumhare liye." He said caressing her cheek and went down in the kitchen.
She dialed his cell number and ordered him to get a cold coffee along with the pasta. He obliged and came in the room with a tray with a bowl of pasta and her cold coffee.
Maan: "Yeh lijiye shrimati jee; aapka order aa gaya! Ab khaa ke batao kaisa bana hai?"
She took a piece of the hot steaming cheesy pasta in her mouth and relished the taste! She took a sip of the cold coffee too!
Geet: "Maan bahut achha bana hai!"
He smiled at her and fed her the rest of the pasta. She drank the entire cold coffee and made her way to the bathroom. Till the time she was back; the plates were put back in the dishwasher and the bed was made again.
Geet yelled from the bathroom;
Geet: "Maan jaldi ayiyega. Meri madad kijiye."
He rushed to help her when he realized that she was wet as the water from the shower accidentally fell on her.
He left a giggle and helped her out of the bathroom. He made her sit and help her wipe herself! She made an entry into the bathroom again with his loose white shirt and her flowery skirt. These were the best clothes that fitted her and didn't restrict her movements!
By the time she came back; she saw Maan lying on the bed. She wanted to see a movie. A movie at 3 in the morning. She saw that he was fast asleep. She adjusted herself on the couch; helped her self get a bowl of popcorn and enjoyed the movie. An hour later; she felt her body giving away hence she decided to sleep. As soon as she hit the bed; Maan took her in his arms. He lay next to her; his hands on top of her bulging belly and the other beneath her.
Geet: "Aap to so gaye the na? Aap itni jaldi kaise uth gaye? Aapko to Dadima ke saath jaana hai na?"
Maan: "Main kab so raha tha. Main to yeh dekh raha tha ki tum kya kar rahi thi. Bas tumhe dekh raha tha."
Geet: "Maan jaane se pehle thoda aaram to kijiye na. Kal aapko savere jaana hai. Mera matlab ab 3 ghanton main!"
Maan: "Agar main jaa raha hota to!" he said with a smile on his face.
Geet: "Matlab?"
Maan: "Matlab yeh buddhu ki main nahi jaa raha hoon. Dadima ke saath Adi aur Pinky jaa rahe hai. Samjhi? Is haalat main tumhe akele kaise chod ke jaa sakta hoon?"
He slowly made his eyes have contact with her and gently kissed her lips. She responded with equal passion! He rose to look at her; she was so vulnerable. He just had to go near her to have her weak in her knees! She would lose all defenses when she was with him. That's how he made her feel! After 2 years of marriage also; Geet shied like a new bride!
He later let his lips linger on her tired eyelids making her shiver. He nibbled at her ear lobes; making her gasp! He later took over her cheeks kissing them each; his touch making her more vulnerable! He pecked her forehead! She opened the eyes to see Maan looking down at her with all the love he stores for her. He later takes his hands down and unbuttons her shirt. She moaned;
Geet: "Maan please..." she pleaded with her eyes!
He realized that she was pregnant; and they have the whole lifetime to share intimacy!
But before that it was Geet who took over and unbuttoned his shirt. And the she spoke again;
Geet: "Maan please..." she said as she looked at him.
He moved towards her ears; and he whispered in his raspy voice;
Maan: "Aaj tum mujhse bach gayi par agli baar nahi bachogi."
Geet: "Par main aapse bachna chahti hi nahi." She said teasingly!
That was all that Maan required to continue his assault on her. There was no memory, no time, and no other person; there was only Maan and his incredible gentleness, his endless passion and love for her, as he moved ever so gently toward her, and they moved closer and closer, until suddenly they became one and she could feel herself melt into him and she could bear it no longer. It was all so exquisite, and then suddenly they both exploded in unison and Geet lay in Maan's arms in complete amazement. She had never known anything even remotely like that. There was no similarity at all with what had happened to her before, no memory, and no pain, there was nothing but Maan now and the love they shared!
It was the morning when Geet finally woke up when the rays coming from the window hit her face. That's when she realised what had transpired between them! She shied like a new bride! But Maan was nowhere to be seen. She called out to him;
Geet: "Maan..."
Then she saw him entering their room with a cup of tea in his hand.
Maan: "Good morning Geet! Ye lo chai pee lon."
But she didn't move or budge from the bed. As he went next to her; he realized why she wasn't moving.
Geet: "Aise kya dekh rahe hai aap mujhe?" she asked him.
Maan: "Bas apni Mishti ko jee bhar ke dekh loon office jaane se pehle. Main aaj ghar se hi kaam karoonga lekin study main baithkar."
Geet: "Maan Dadima chali gayi kya?"
Maan: "Main unhe airport chod ke aa raha hoon. Tum soyi thi to maine tumhe nahi jagaya."
"Are utho to sahi aur chai pee lo."
Geet: "Jab tak aap nahi jaayenge; main kaise bahar aa sakti hoon?"
Maan gave her a bewildered expression;
Maan: "Tum bahar kyun nahi aa sakti?"
He sat besides her on the bed. She slowly rose her eyes;
Geet: "Maan maine kapde nahi pehne hai." She said looking away from him.
He got her a pair of change and left the room! He respected his wife and her dignity!
