1. Sunny was born Karen Malhotra on May 13, 1981, in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Her parents were Indian and, although she was raised as a sikh, she was enrolled in a Catholic school as her parents felt it was unsafe for her to go to public school.

2. By the time she was 14, Sunny and her family had moved from Canada, to Fort Gratiot in Michigan before finally settling in Lake Forest, California.

3. Sunny claims she discovered she was bisexual at the age of 18, however she says she prefers men.

4. Before working in the po*n industry, Sunny worked at a German bakery, a Jiffy Lube filling station and at a tax and retirement firm.

5. Sunny was training to be a paediatric nurse in Orange County when she was introduced to agent John Stevens by a exotic dancer friend. He in turn introduced her Jay Allen, a photographer for lad's mag Penthouse.

6. When choosing her po*n star name, she said that Sunny is her real name and Leone was chosen by Bob Guccione, the former owner of Penthouse magazine.

7. The star moved into hardcore po*nography in 2005 when she signed a three-year contract with Vivid Entertainment. Her first film was entitled Sunny and her second movie, Virtual Vivid Girl Sunny Leone, won her an AVN adult industry award.

8. In June 2006, she became an American citizen, however she remains a dual citizen of Canada.

9. Sunny hopes to retire from the po*n industry to get married and have a family. However, she currently lives in Hollywood with her cat and drives an Audi A5.

10. On entering the Big Boss house on day 49 of the series, Sunny did not reveal her po*n star status, instead telling housemates that she had been a TV actress and model for the last ten years.
