1Sudama gets up in the morning, is surprised to see the medicine on his body, he realises his sakha, Krishna has done this.Originally posted by: varaaliThe new teacher and Paundrak begin their lessons. The teacher shows how to position fingers on the flute so that each swar is heard distinctly. But when he begins to play the flute all that can be heard are strange sounds. Harinath (the teacher) looks surprised and glances at his flute. He tries again but the result is the same- odd creaky sounds.MM standing behind a pillar with a flute in his hand is enjoying the mischief he has caused. The Kashi king is furious wth Harinath and shouts that he has got an unique opportunity to serve Bhagvan Vasudev but he is making a fool of them.
Paundrak asks Kashinath to relax and suggests that maybe due to the strain of travelling from Kashi, he (Harinath) was not able to play properly. He should take rest now. Seeing Sudama nearby, Paundrak orders him to escort Harinath to his room and press his legs till he falls asleep.Harinath is lying on his bed, while Sudama presses his legs. Seeing his flute nearby, Harinath takes it to his lips and begins to blow into it- and this time he is able to play a beautiful tune. Sudama comments that his playing is beautiful and it is evident that he has put in a lot of practice, but somehow his music does not touch the soul the way MM's music does. Harinath gets angry at this unasked criticism and orders him to get out.As Sudama walks out of the room, Krishna runs up to him and asks whether he (Sudama) really felt that Krishna was the best flute player in the world. Sudama., in no mood for such frivolous talk, keeps walking and does not reply. Krishna questions whether he (Sudama) was still angry with him and suggests the if he ( Krishna) pressed Sudma's legs, maybe that will make Sudama feel better. Sudama, tired of Krishna's solicitations, turns around and replies wearily that that's what was left- Krishna pressing Sudama's legs. First of all, Krishna has made him a servant in this wicked king's palace, now by offering to press his legs, Krishna wants to pile more sins on his head. Shaking his head, Sudama walks away sadly. Krishna remarks to himself that by serving a bhakta like Sudama, his (krishna's) punya increases.Sudama is sleeping on the floor. Krishna comes in and materializes a cup containing some medicine which he applies on Sudama's bruised and battered body.
