Arnav (half-heartedly) and Lavanya decided that they will not tell anyone about their breakup and Khushi is in the same state (bechari). Everyone around is happy and celebrating Payal and Akash's engagement. As usual, Arnav is very silent and giving away plastic smiles to guests. Lavanya is trying hard to conceal her emotions and avoiding Arnav in a fear that tears will roll out if she meets his eye; and occupies herself with chatting and doing some work. Khushi feels she needs a break from the crowd after seeing Shyam there trying to be normal. She escapes to the pool side and thinks about the interactions with Shyam and thinks about how angelic Anjali is etc., Arnav comes in search of Khushi and sees her standing there with tear rolling down her cheeks and in the moonlight she was looking gorgeous. He goes near her and calls her name "Khushi..." she turns to look at him. Arnav and Khushi feel the same magnetic pull and involuntarily Arnav opens his arms and without thinking Khushi falls into his arms and pours her tears out. Arnav tightens his hold on her and without waiting to give his logical sense a chance kisses on top of her hair (which was so silky and smooth).
