Maybe because you're not differentiating between physical desire, and emotional desire? Or because you associate physical expressions (between lovers) as purely emotional? That's OK... but in the more adult world, it does happen the other way too, and does not always mean it's an addiction or could become one. Some men have no issues with keeping love/lust separated (read Mills & Boons) . And, keep in mind ASR is a character who doesn't believe in love, yet had a girlfriend.. one who shared his views. Why would he do that if he didn't want something physically fulfilling? In fact La even said it "In every way a married couple lives together, without actually marrying). He could have kept her as just a friend but didn't want to.
I get that being physical can be purely physical without emotions. But, what I mean here is the urge to get physical ! ASR will never let anything effect him, so how could he let this 'I need to get physical now' feel into his mind ? It is a feeling, right ? Or am I confusing myself here π
For La being his girl friend - He is in a fashion world, a tycoon that too unmarried. And in high society, it is a fashion to date someone or may be to keep away the other girls/stalkers. But that doesn't mean that it has to be physical, isn't it ?
About the infamous 6th July epi: ASR was thinking about Kushi that time. He was not into La at all, so he didn't care about what she was doing. This is how I perceived !
About La's explanation to KKG - she was telling how a live in work out but not actually what she and ASR were about to do !
And that is why he is avoiding KKG as she is inducing strong physical and emotional desire in him which no one has managed too. Means he was not physically attracted to anyone - he did not need that need till now - am I making sense here ? π
Instance, Diwali night ! He was physically attracted to her that night and wanted her. This did not happen to him with any other girl. Precisely, La did not invoke physical desire in him. So what I mean to say is, if he was not having the desire to be physical before, then he must not have been physical either, isn't it ?
Apologies for making your post off track ! Just wanted to say what I feel π
