Just back from shooting for J P Dutta's Umrao Jaan, Aishwarya was shocked and greatly distressed to learn that her private affairs were once again being misconstrued by the media. She has been reviled for 'dumping' Vivek for Abhishek, ostensibly, simply because the latter is a safer bet, what with Vivek's career having ground to a halt and Abhishek's going great guns. She refutes her close friends ever having gone to the press with the story, saying she has only one close friend and that friend is not associated with the film industry in any way. So when journalists quote "close friends" as their sources, they are obviously lying. A family member finally comes out in the open and admits that Aishwarya and Vivek had broken up six months ago. And as Ash had never gone public about her relationship, she did not deem it necessary to announce to the world at large, that she was no longer seeing Vivek. The family member hotly defends Aishwarya saying that why was it construed a crime to be fiercely protective about one's personal life. Why did Aishwarya need to declare her romantic liasons to the media? The same person also rubbishes the claim that it was Aishwarya who instigated Vivek into lambasting Salman Khan in public. The relative says that at the time of Vivek's press conference, Aishwarya had met with an accident on the sets of Khakee. As for where Abhishek fitted into her scheme of things, the family member requested the media to give the couple space. They are as yet just friends who are extremely compatible and nothing more, is the official line. | ||
