in Week 50, Star Plus, already the leader, surged way ahead of its competition. Backed by strong TVRs from four of its shows, the channel was at 350 GRPs in Week 50, from 318 in Week 49.

Sony Entertainment Television was at second place but fell by 12 GRPs to 228 in Week 50.

Colors dropped by 2 GRPs to 225 in Week 50, but earned the second runner-up position.

Zee TV remained at 152 GRPs in Week 50.

Sab dropped to 117 GRPs (120 in Week 49), Imagine stayed at 77 GRPs and Star One improved by 1 GRP to 40. Sahara One was at 41 GRPs (39 in Week 49).

GEC Ratings: Star Plus falls by 20 GRPs in Week 51

Sony gains in GRPs and consolidates its second place

Star Plus, with 330 GRPs continued to lead the Hindi GECs, even though their ratings fell by 20 GRPs. Star Plus hold a lead of 84 GRPs over second place Sony, who saw a rise of 18 GRPs to move to 246 GRPs for week 51.

Colors remained in third place with 221 GRPs, followed by Zee with 155 GRPs and Sab TV with 121. Imagine, in sixth place, saw a drop of six GRPs to fall to 71 GRPs.

GEC Ratings: Sony, Colors slip in Week 52; Star Plus gains ratings

Zee TV gains enormously but maintains fourth rank in the order, Life OK enters the fray with 87 GRPs

The TAM reports on GECs for Week 52, the last week of 2011, are out. Star Plus continues to remain at the top with a significant gain of 14 GRPs at 344.

Sony and Colors occupy the second and third place but both took a slight beating at their respective ratings and registered 235 (246) and 218 (221) GRPs respectively.

Zee TV was the highlight of this week. The channel registered an increase of 53 GRPs at 208 as compared to Week 51.

The recently launched channel from the Star bouquet, Life OK grabbed its share of eyeballs in its first week and registered 87 GRPs and closed in at the sixth position in the GEC table (after SAB which recorded 122 (121) GRPs).

Star Plus continues to rule, Sony slips to number three

In Week 53, as per the TAM Peoplemeter, Star Plus continued as the leader among Hindi GECs with 325 GRPs, although it dropped from 344 GRPs in Week 52.

Colors moved up to the number two spot, on the back of Colors Golden Petal Awards and Balika Vadhu. The channel registered 256 GRPs in Week 53, as compared to 218 in Week 52.

Sony slipped to the number three spot, inspite of moving up from 235 GRPs in Week 52, to 240 in Week 53.

Zee TV fell from 208 GRPs to 194 in Week 53.

Sab earned 113 GRPs (122 in Week 52); Life OK 74 GRPs (87 in Week 52); Imagine 72 GRPs (67 in Week 52); Sahara One 35 GRPs (39 in Week 52).
