Bollywood's Rockstar Ranbir Kapoor sent crowds in Ahmedabad in a frenzy, when he visited several dandiya venues 2nd October to promote his upcoming film Rockstar, directed by Imtiaz Ali.

He was accompanied by co-star Nargis Fakhri and producer Hiren Gandhi from Shree Ashtvinayak. The team visited Karnavati Club, Prasang Party Plot and Shanku's Water Park at Ahmedabad.

Clad in a traditional ghaghra and choli, Nargis looked smoking hot as she made her first major public appearance. Ranbir too looked impressive in his black kurta. The duo greeted the crowds in Gujarati and performed garba on stage. Both the stars made a dramatic entry on a hydraulic crane amidst a thunderous applause.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Rockstar is produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision and Eros International. The film revolves around a Delhi boy named Janardhan (Ranbir), who abhors the fact that he has no pain in his life. With the notion that all great musicians have had a painful life, even he wants to get his heart broken and go through pain. Thus, he proposes to the most sought-after girl in Delhi University.

The soundtrack of the film, which is schedule to be released on 11.11.11, has been composed by musical genius A R Rahman.
