Scene begins with some people mocking Sudama. A dejected Sudama begins to walk back, but then he gets flashes of his wife and kids. Meanwhile Krishna is telling his wives that all that remains to be seen is whether Sudama can overcome his ego.

Sudama reaches the palace and asks the dwarpals  whether he can meet Krishna. ONe of them questions whether he has come seeking justice or bhiksha. Sudama replies that he wants neither and has come to meet his friend Krishna and would the dwarpal be good enough to inform Krishna that his childhood friend has come to meet him. The dwarpal looks at him questioningly but goes inside. Two other dwarpals begin making fun of his poverty. Sudama's doubts begin to assail him again.

Krishna is being attended to by his wives (SB and JV) when the dwarpal announces that a brahman is waiting outside seeking his audience. Krishna replies that is due to the prayers and tapas of the brahmans that Dwaraka is flourishing and it is not correct that a brahman should be made to wait outside. In fact he should have been escorted inside right away. The dwarpal hesitantly informs that the brahman's mental state does not seem quite right, hence he was stopped at the door itself. The dwarpal goes on to add that the brahman claims to be your friend and says his name is Sudama.

The word 'Sudama' has an electrifying effect on Krishna,  and he begins to run towards the door, knocking down a servant girl in the process.

Meanwhile at the gate, Sudama is getting restless. One of the guards advises him kindly that he has been waiting for quite some time, why doesn't he go and eat some food somewhere. (I didn't quite get this; how long could it have taken for the dwarpal to announce Sudama's arrival to Krishna and for Krishna to come running down? A Few minutes maximum, yet the creatives made it seem it took hours).

Sudama , his heart heavy, thinks his visit was in vain and with weary steps turns away from the palace. While walking he encounters more jibes from the onlookers. This time the words sting him more and pain and anguish fill his heart. Krishna, breathless and disheveled  from running comes to the gate. Sudama is not there. He grabs hold of the Dwarpal and questions him urgently- Where had Sudama gone? The dwarpal mentions some place.

Krishna begins to run after Sudama, calling his name, heedless to the fact that he didn't even have his footwear on.  At soem point, his Uttariya (upper garment) falls off, but Krishna doesn't notice. He continues to run, calling "Sudama"...

Normally the bhakta calls out the Lord's name hoping that He would listen, but here the Lord Himself is calling out the bhakta's name...and he listens...

Sudama hears Krishna's voice and stops as if in a dream. He turns around and sees Krishna. His walking stick falls from his hand.
(Very Symbolic- why need the stick's support when the Lord is in front offering His support?)

Krishna comes forward puts his hands on his friends shoulders. Krishna looks distressed on seeing his friend's emaciated and lean body. Sudama looks as if all his prayers have been answered. The two friends hug and exchange pleasantries.

Narad praises Krishna

Jai ho Dwarikadheesh Tumhari

Quiz Question- In today's episode we saw Krishna's running w/o his Uttariya. Can someone tell me one another incident where Krishna runs w/o his Uttariya?

Thanks for the update. Sudama is a very special bhakta, after taking so many tests of Sudama, it is now Krishna's test, how he responds to Sudama, who is his friend & devotee. It is a mutual relationship.😊

I think the incident when he dropped his Uttariya was when he charged towards Bhishma during the Mahabharat War, with a wheel / chakra in his hand.
