TVD. Episode 2.
SEASON 3
The episode starts with Elena visiting Damon and as they talk about Andy, she tells him that Stefan called her last night. When she tells him he didn't say anything, he doesn't take it seriously and tells her once again that Stefan was gone.
After that, Elena goes to meet Ric and demands for him to tell her everything he knows about Stefan and Tennessee.
Ric eventually ends up spilling everything, particularly the fact that Klaus and Stefan have been tracking werewolves. That leads Elena to Tyler who gives her suggestions as to where she could find a werewolf pack. She convinces Ric to tag along with her although he's not too happy with it.
Carol tells Tyler that if he ever brought a girl home, she'd appreciate if that girl didn't sneak out at night.
Tyler apologizes. "Oh, Caroline. She's not a prostitute." -Tyler.
Klaus and Stefan end up finding the wolf pack and they kill all of them. Changing them into vampires but something goes terribly wrong. Blood starts to come out of their eyes once they transformed and they started to become vicious, even trying to attack Klaus. This leads to Klaus killing them.
Ray, however, the first one changed runs away the moment he transforms. Stefan goes after him and ends up getting bitten. While Stefan searches for Ray, he hears Elena and Damon so he stops for a moment and Klaus appears. Klaus tells him that Stefan would first have to go find Ray, only then would he get Klaus's blood for the wolf bite.
Elena gives Alaric Jeremy's ring as protection. And suddenly as the two talk, she's pushed into a lake by Damon. She's angry at Alaric for telling Damon about their plan. When she refuses to come out of the water [because if she did, Damon would force her to go back home], Damon gets frustrated with her but she convinces him to stay back. "Fine. But we're out of here before the full moon." -Damon.
Then the 3 run into Ray who attacks Damon after realizing that he's a vamp. After throwing wolfs bane on Ray, they tie him up against a tree and Damon comes to the conclusion that he was a hybrid.
Suddenly, Ray starts to transform so the 3 run.
But Elena trips and finds herself face to face with a wolf. Damon distracts it and causes it to chase him.
Tyler learns about the sheriff inserting vervain the coffee at the place Matt works which is why the coffee tasted odd to Tyler. And that makes him realize why his coffee tasted weird at his house in the morning too so he confronts his mother about it. He tells her that he knows she was testing him to make sure he wasn't a vampire and that yes, he knew there were vampires in town. When Carol reveals that she might have done something to Care, Tyler decides to show Carol who he really was. He takes her into the cell and locks the door so she's out and he's inside. He chains himself up and starts to transform in front of her.
Jeremy tells Matt that he could "connect" to Vicki through a family member and Matt agrees to do it but caves in at last minute. But he changes his mind when a picture of him and Vicki that he had put faced down suddenly is upright by itself. He goes to Jere's house and Jere sees Vicki again. She tells him that she can come back. "Help me come back." -Vicki. After that, a window smashes and Anna appears telling him not to trust Vicki.
Damon is fighting with Ray when Stefan comes and kills Ray, saving Damon. Stefan asks him what part of "leave me alone" Damon didn't understand but Damon explains that it was Elena who didn't want to leave him alone. Stefan tells him that Elena had to get over him because he wasn't coming back. He also tells Damon to take Elena home.
Elena and Ric have a heart-to-heart talk before Damon returns. She explains to Ric how he's not a lost cause but just lost because he didn't have anyone and the same was for her. After the talk, Alaric decides to keep the protection ring and Elena smiles.
Damon tells Alaric and Elena that they were leaving and Elena doesn't protest much. Stefan watches them from afar.
Stefan, then takes Ray's body to Klaus who's upset because he was unable to change the werewolves. According to him, he had broken the curse by killing a werewolf, a vampire and the doppleganger.
And then he gives Stefan his blood to cure the wolf bite coming to terms with the fact that Stefan was the only comrade left of Klaus's.
Back home, Damon tells Elena he's changed his mind. He tells Elena that saving Stefan was possible and the reason why he had a change of heart was because even in Stefan's darkest phases, he wouldn't let Damon die. As for Elena, Damon gets her to tell him why she agreed to leave without protesting. She reveals that she cares about him and Damon tells her that he doesn't want her to forget the feelings she had for him during Stefan's absence. So, that's why he needed to make her say it aloud.
When Tyler returns to his human self, Carol promises him that nothing would happen to Care.
She calls the man she called to handle Care who tells her that Care was a vamp. They had to take care of her.
And then that man goes to visit Care in the cell where she is tied up in a chair. And that man turns out to be Care's father.
