Dev is standing by the window and waiting for Radhika's return. Barkha comes into the room and requests for head balm because she has a headache and also feeling feverish. Dev tells her to sit down and he searches for a thermometer. Barkha tells him that she is missing her mother because then she could have put her head on her lap and here there is no around. Dev thinks for some time and says that he can ask daima who although cannot replace her mother but her fingers have magic in them. Barkha replies that she does not want to disturb daima at this hour at night. Dev puts the thermometer in her mouth and tells her that she is Radhika's friend because both of them think about others. He takes out the thermometer from Barkha's mouth, checks the reading and after telling her that she does not have any fever remarks that maybe due to tiredness she is feeling feverish. Dev wishes that Radhika was present then she would have put the balm on Barkha's forehead. In return Barkha questions that whether only Radhika is her friend, isn't he also her friend and that can't he put the balm on her forehead. Dev hesitatingly goes and gets the balm and Barkha says to herself that these are all the ways so that he can get close to her and that she is very happy that he is taking care of her. He sits next to Barkha and raises his hands to apply the balm when he feels someone's presence and turns around to see Radhika standing at the doorway. He rushes to her asking her that when did she arrive and then gives her a hug. Barkha watches the scene and stands up angrily. Badi bahu comes and stands behind Radhika and smiles at Barkha.
Badi bahu tells Dev that if she did not reach the temple then Radhika would not have been able to return home. On being questioned by Dev why was it not possible, badi bahu tells him that after 10.00pm there are no taxis nor any autos to be found near the temple. That is why as soon as she heard that Radhika has gone there, she went to bring her back. Badi bahu continues that she might be bad but that does not mean that she will let the daughter-in-law of the house wander around in the streets at night. Dev is looking ashamed and he thanks her. Badi bahu tells him that since she knows that area very well, hence she was aware about the transport problems but maybe Barkha does not know about that when she sent Radhika to the temple. Barkha excuses herself saying that maybe these problems started recently because when her aunt used to go, there were no transport problems. Badi bahu reminds her that times have changed. Radhika sees the bottle of balm in Dev's hand and asks him whether he is feeling well or not. Dev reassures her that he is ok but Barkha has a headache and since she did not want to disturb others, she came to him for help. Radhika takes the balm and tells Barkha that she will apply it to her forehead but is stopped by badi bahu who takes the balm and tells her to rest and to spend time with her husband. She walks up to Barkha and tells that she will not only apply balm to her forehead but will also make a potion for Barkha and that she knows how to cure headaches like the one Barkha is suffering from. Badi bahu tells Dev and Radhika to take rest and takes Barkha with her. Radhika tells Dev that she is worried about Barkha and wants to check just once whether she is ok or not. Dev first nods yes but when she is about to leave tells her to stay with him for two minutes and then go to see Barkha. He won't stop her and makes her sit on the bed.
Badi bahu is telling Barkha (most probably in Barkha's room) that the headache must have increased seeing that her plan has flopped and tells off Barkha that she is no one to scare her or to fight with her. Then Badi bahu taunts her by saying that since Barkha is used to talking in the language of proverbs and idioms, here is one for her that one should never go against the crocodile when one wants to live in a pond (meaning never make the most powerful person your enemy). Badi bahu continues that since she has ruled for 12 years, she is aware of everything that happens here and that although she accepts that for sometime she did become weak but that is because the waters got changed (situation changed) and hence she faced problems. She continues that this does not mean that a frog that becomes active during monsoon should think that she is capable of facing a crocodile.
Part 3
Barkha mutters to herself that badi bahu is talking too much. Badi bahu fires back that until now Barkha was talking but now she has to listen to him. She continues that Barkha has to come out of her dream world and asks Barkha that by sending Radhika to the temple, did she think that Dev would be hers? Badibahu continues that even if she did not go to the temple to pick up Radhika and even if Radhika stayed in the temple at night, then also Dev could never have been Barkha's. Then reminds Barkha the main reason is because Dev loves Radhika. She further taunts Barkha that just because Radhika loaned her some sindoor it does not mean that the sindoor is hers. Even if she put the ashes of her dreams in her forehead then also nothing will happen and just to be happy with what she has got, because Radhika will not give her anything more than that and nor will Dev allow her, because Dev was, is and always will be Radhika's. Barkha screams out that Dev is hers and no one can snatch him from her, not even that Radhika who unkown to badi bahu and Barkha is standing outside the main door, listening with a shocked look on her face. Radhika becomes lifeless and falls against the wall, holding it for support with tears streaming down her face. She stands there for some time using the wall as a support and then slowly straightens her back and looks here and there, searching for somewhere to go.
Radhika in a daze staggers into the temple and drags her feet, hands outstretched looking for support. She leans against a pillar and Barkha's words are reverberating in her head. She disbelievingly says to herself that this cannot be true and that Barkha cannot say this. Radhika muttering to herself that what she heard cannot be true looks at Kanha's idol and pleads to him that she has heard wrong. Since Barkha is not only her childhood friend but is also her best friend, she cannot do this to her. Radhika slowly sits down on the floor leaning against the pillar and again pleads to Kanha that maybe her ears have betrayed her. Badi bahu comes up from behind and tells her that yes there has been betrayal and it is Radhika who has been betrayed. Badi bahu continues that whatever Radhika has seen and heard is the truth and that the fault is Radhika's because she thought that Barkha is her friend and that best friend Barkha who is also the idol of sacrifice now wants to snatch everything from her and that includes her love and her Dev. Still trying not to accept, Radhika continues that this cannot be true and this might be some game that badi bahu is playing. To which badi bahu replies that if it was so then why Barkha sent her to the temple knowing that she will not be able to return and realization dawns on Radhika who falls down crying that this cannot be true. Badi bahu remarks that unfortunately this is the truth and Radhika is also aware of it, so why is she trying to ignore it? Badi bahu sits down beside her and tells her that the Barkha wanted to light the divya jyoti with Dev so that she will always be with Dev and and that is why she called all those people there but Radhika arrived on time. She also tells Radhika that Barkha wanted to spend the night alone in that cottage with Dev and that is why she mixed drugs in his juice and Radhika remembers seeing Barkha leaning on unconscious Dev. Badi bahu further states that Radhika again landed there and Barkha could not do anything. Today too Barkha sent her to the temple so that she could get close to Dev and the headache is just an excuse. Since badi bahu has brought Radhika back, that is why Barkha is angry and confused. Radhika is crying and slowly realising the truth. Badi bahu continues that she has to save Dev from Barkha,
Precap- Barkha on the phone talking to someone and she tells that person that pitrapaksh's bhog is today and she will do whatever that person is telling her to do since that person thinks that this will work.
