Stress busters for Arnav and Kushi

Arnav's  stress buster:

Gardening. 


Arnav comes across as a guy who is impatient.  He does not like lingering on anything for long. He likes to work at break neck speed. He would generally crush anyone who crosses him without a second thought. 

The activity he chooses to relieve his stress has to be the exact opposite of what he normally is. Hence he resorts to gardening.  Now gardening requires a lot of patience, nurturing and care.  By tending to his plants he gets to exhibit that soft and nurturing side of him that he keeps hidden from the world.  His destructive streak gets negated by the constructive activity of helping a life grow, even if it is only plant life.


End result of his stress buster.  People get a feast for their eyes, for who wouldn't like to see lush and blooming plants?


Kushi's stress buster:


Making jalebis

Now Kushi is a girl who is as straight as an arrow.  Her mind and heart are 99 per cent in synch with each other. She speaks her mind no matter who the person is.  She is too naive and ignorant of the ways of this world.  She is incapable of crooked thinking and cannot even cleverly mask her involvement in the silly pranks she pulls on Arnav.

The activity she chooses to relieve her stress is also something which is the exact opposite of what she normally is.  For many cooking is a great stress reliever. So it is not surprising she chooses this hobby to relieve her stress but look at the sweet she chooses to make. Jalebis are twisted around. So although she herself is straight (here I don't only mean in terms of her sexual orientation), the sweets she makes is all convoluted and twisted.  So indirectly she gets any crooked thoughts out of her system by making 'crooked' sweets and then fries them up in boiling oil, much as she would like to fry up the negative thoughts which may taint her soul.


End result of her stress buster. People get a feast for their stomach, for who wouldn't like to tuck in the goodies she dishes out.

Thanks.  Yes, that is what I felt about Kushi. Her naivety and  forthrightness stems from her youth and her lack of explore to the real hard world. For her everything is either black or white. There is no gray in between the two.  I can relate with her because I was like her when I was her age.
