MONEY WAS BEHIND THE END OF GULAAL!

Hi guys just thought you may like to know that Star Plus have cut their budgets for programming and as a broadcaster have put pressure on many shows. The first to go was GULAAL for this very reason. They wanted the budget cut by 33% and the makers refused so it was replaced with DABH. People have complained about the low quality program DABH and this was the answer they got from the head office insider.

They are also doing it to DOR which is on at 8.30pm. The show replacing it costs 40% less than the other one! Its got nothing to do with the themes or if the show is a success its all to do with the budget! They are basically using the public this way and will be changing all of their programming by the end 2012 except for three top earners!

Such a shame! 😭

i always thought that sp is a money hungry channel but now i know its a shameless cheap channel run by even cheaper ppl

Its good that gulaal makers didnot compromise for that star plus demands😡...its good that they concluded the show with an apt ending even in very less time remaining...rather than reducing its costs and making the show pathetic to watch...

whoever say money isnt important doesnt know what to do in life.😛...bascially it all about money honey.😃... production houses channels actors make money from a show...entertainment is business for them so thats not a big deal if star plus discontinued the show so that they can telecast a new show that can generate more revenue...gulaal was telecasted for money but it was breathtaking journey both for us and gulaal team

for gulaal team it was a medium to proof their genuis and kudos they were fantabulous

for us it was a masterpiece and i m glad that gulaal ended on high note it didnt dragged coz of money cost cutting etc etc i must thank star plus that they dare to show us such a brilliant concept and till end the quality is retained

and all well that ends well...gulaal ended and we are content with it ...no grudges at all🤗

regarding DABH we cant judge it as we arent concern with it ...woo jaale woo bhuje sano ki😛

Yep its the money alright no doubt about that! Well the activity on this forum and the commitment that the fans have daily, clearly point out the extraordinary phenoninum that the show indeed was and how it touched the lives of so many! Perhaps once in a while SP get it right but are so compelled and controlled by revenue that they don't have the patience to realise that longterm revenue can sometimes out way a fast dollar!

Whats horrifing is that many people don't realise how money controls it all so much and the above post outlines that! SP care about the revenue not the shows!

it isnt horrifying at all shows are made for the ppl in general and the masses like saas bahu crap and stupid saazish ...eventually YRKKH and sathiya doesnt have any story but ppl love it...masses love senseless romance afterall sp or other channel doesnt sit and watch show its the audience that watch a particular show and make it a hit

if a show is hit revenue is increased if not its wrapped up ...gulaal was quality show that run for the satisfactory period end up without messing the story y to complain...only few channel take a courage to show a taboo lovestory in national channel that to at the prime slot...y to condemmm star plus after all its not running a charity and besides it is serving what exactly audience demand they want useless romance sp are showing it demand and supply is perfectly synchronized...SP has to look the wide horizon they cant make all ppl happy at same time but concentrate on the large section of ppl that demand cheesy romance and ktichen politicsfor DABH and DOR i will say survival of the fittest if it click SP will make it run for 10 years if it doent it will be wrapped in 9 &10 months

yaa for the rest couple of ppl like us i m sure sp or any other channel will definelty bring good story in the future...else BBC fox history and channel tom and jerry is there for rescue

we shouldnt expect from the channel thats is clear in its vision make profit...

But do you think that the Marketing Team or the team which plans, schedules and promotes the show on the channel were not doing a good job. The shows get their promotion (other than the situation built up in the storyline), the way its projected on the channel and the re-runs of the episodes all through the week. The show also gets its projection by promoting the actors on the channel events as awards ceremonies etc. Money comes from ads they get during their slot but here there could be another factor coming into action, what if the show was attracting ads but then the cost incurring on this show was leaving them with lesser profits. StarPlus also went overboard by showing off and holding the award ceremony in Macau, and now they want to recover the cost like this.

On other channels shows are running for more than two years but since they are generating revenue and profits they continue to stay on air.

I wish that the Gulaal team were associated with Colors or StarOne.
