PART 18

MN Room – Morning

"nupur utho..." mayank tried to shake her up while she turned and continued sleeping. She had a temperature. He sighed and bending closer shook her again.

" dhruv...nahin!" nupur sat up and opened her eyes. She looked around for a second and suddenly realised where she was. She caught sight of mayank standing next to the bed , hurt expression on his face.

"main hoon." he managed to say in a expressionless voice.

"sorry mayank," nupur replied guilt written all over her face and in her voice," wo kal itne dher tak hum usike baare mein baat kar rahe the na...tho mooh se nikal gaya."

he nodded, placed his hand on her forehead and said," tumhe temperature hain tho aaj college mat jaana."

"nahin,"she stood up," main aaoongi. Tum wait karo." and walked to the bathroom without waiting for him to talk.

Mayank stared at her , somehow unable to refuse or stop her.nupur came out wiping her face , and started hunting for a dress to wear silently.

" nupur tum college jaarahin ho? ," shilpa s voice came in from the door. Nupur nodded,with a dress in her hand.

" mayu, tum isko college kyun jaane keliye..."

"nahin maa, maine hi kahaan ki main jaaoongi." she defended mayank. Shilpa looked from one to the other and sensed something amiss.

" nahin beta. bhukar mein rest lena chahiye. Tum aaj ghar mein raho, meri saath." she said in a stern tone and looking at mayank," tum jao. Main iski saath rahoongi." and moving to nupur," yeh lo, tum chai peelo pehle. And mayu, tumhaara breakfast ready hain."

" maa, mujhe aapki seva karna chahiye aur aap sab kuch..." nupur smiled.

" tho mujhe bhukar aana chahiye kya?" shilpa answered back with a grin.

" chi chi nahin. "

" tho chalo, maa ki baat mano aur chup chaap rest karo. Jab meri baari aayegi seva karwane ki tab main tumse jamke karwaaoongi." she laughed and nupur joined her.

Mayank walked out somehow feeling that nupur wouldnt smile with him around the way she was with his mom.

Excel- Samrats cabin

mayank sitting , turning a paper weight in his hands. Samrat and gunjan come near the door and see him . Before gunjan can walk in, samrat pulled her back and spoke in a low voice.

"main keh raha hoon chashmish. humein aise disturb nahin karna chahiye."

"disturb samrat! Wo meri jiju hain.  agar disturb karthi bhi hoon, tho bhi teek hi hain. Tumhe baat nahin karna hain tho jao. Main unse mile bagair nahin jaane waali." and moved inside.

Samrat held her hand and stopped her, she looked at him angrily.

"nupur sirf tumhaari behen nahin hain. Wo mayank ki wife bhi hain. Aise bohot saare baatein ho sakthe hain jo wo dono tumhe ya mujhe nahin batana chahthe ho. Maine pehle bhi kahaan ..."

"haan samrat . Main maanthi hoon . lekin yeh di aur jiju ki beech ki baatein nahin hain. matlab ashwini ki haalat kharab thi di ko dekhkar tho phir di ko tho...main bas unko pareshaan dekhke chup nahin baith sakthi " when sam made to interrupt," please mujhe rokho mat. Meri dil ko tasalli miljaayegi."

"us se thoda tho waqt do.."

"kal raat ki baath mujhe aaj shaam ko pata chal rahaan hain. Itna waqt kaafi hain." and she stormed in.samrat followed her.

Gunjan went and placed a hand on mayanks shoulder. He turned and looked at both of them, somewhere lost, but smiled when he saw them.

"jiju , di kaisi hain? Main abhi usko milne ghar jaarahi thi. Aap bhi chalenge?"

mayank looked at samrat, samrat said," ash ne isko bata diya. Not me."

"jiju, main nahin jaanthi ki aap log mujhe is layaq kyun nahin samjathe ki main apni di ke dukh ko share karsakthi par ..."

"aisi nahin hain gunjan . Tum kya kam pareshaan ho ki main tumhaari pareshaani badane ki baat ..."

"meri koi bhi pareshaani di se zyaada nahin hain."she replied with a finality

for a second , the guys were quiet. Then mayank said," sorry gunjan . Par mereliye ek favour karogi. "she nodded.

"tum kuch dher tak nupur ko akela rehne do. abhi maa hain uski saath. Aur waise bhi usko Sardi hain tho saara din so rahin hogi. Bas thoda time ke liye. Tumhe dekh ke wo phir se rest nahin legi."

gunjan hesitated but nodded ," dinner tak" and went out without talking anymore.

Samrat sat on the table in front of mayank,"ek baat poochoon?"

"nahin ."

"okay. Yeh batao ki tum ghar mein rukhe kyun nahin? Matlab nupur bimaar hain aur tum uske saath nahin!?"

"agar baat poochna hi tha tho permission kyun maangi?" samrat smiled .

"ab answer karo."

"pata nahin samrat. Main nupur ke saamne nahin reh paaya. Aur agar main rehtha tho wo apni teen saal ki adventure ki baat karthi rehthi aur..."

samrat stared at his friends face and saw the conflict.

"its okay mayank. Tum bhi insaan ho. Haala ki tumhe lagtha hain ki tum kuch special ho , "both smiled, "par tumhe bhi apne thoughts ko settle karne keliye space aur time allowed hain."

"shayad. Abhi bhi nupur ki baatein meri kaan mein goonj rahin hain.waise bhi wo maa ke saath thi."

"kya hua kal?" mayank didnt answer and samrat didnt ask him again.

"tumhe sab se zyaada kis baat se pareshaani ho rahin hain?" samrat asked him after a while.

Mayank stared at the door with blank eyes and then said, " is baat ki nupur ko ...matlab jab koi hume chot pahunchatha hain tho humko unpe gussa aana chahiye na? Nupur ko dhruv ke upar gussa nahin hain, itna nahin hain jitna ki hona chahiye. Darrthi hain dhruv se. Uspe gussa karegi tho... Aur yeh ki nupur us aadmi se bhaag ke wapas kyun nahin aayi. Itna dard sehne ki zaroorat nahin padthi na."

"wo isliye ki nupur humlogon ko save karne ki koshish mein thi. Aur tumhe is se problem kyun hain mayank ki darr hain ya gussa . kya farak padtha hain? Abh tho dhruv nahin hain..."

"haan wo nahin hain. Par usko bhoolne keliye gussa zyaada kaam aayega, darr nahin...darrthi rahegi tho...aur main usse pooch nahin saktha "

"mujhe samaj mein nahin aarahaan hain ki tum kya keh rahe ho ..." he stopped mayank from interrupting," par jahaan tak maine samjha hain, nupur ko dhruv ke saath jo hua wo bhoolne ke liye tumhaari zaroorat hain. Gussa ho ya darr ya kuch bhi. "

mayank stared at him trying to digest his words," tho kya main uski saath nahin hoon?"

"of course ho. Maybe now tum dhruv ke tortures ke baare mein zyaada aur nupur ki baare mein kam soch rahe ho . Par mayank jo beeth chuka hain us se zyaada important hain ki aaj nupur tumhaari paas hain aur usse tumhaari saath ki zaroorat hain. Bas tum thoda sa confuse ho rahe ho. " he added and changing his tone to a more lighter one said,

" but worry not kyunki guru samrat ke paas in sab problems ki solution hain. Tumhe apne dimaakh ko shut up bolke, apni dil ki baath ko sun na hain. Jo is waqt Mrs Sharma ko dekhna chahrahaan hain. " he grinned and mayank smiled back at him .

He knew he hadnt told samrat anything of what nupur had told him and samrat wouldnt understand why he was so upset but he still felt better than he had felt in the morning when nupur got up saying dhruv! Maqybe he had needed time to adjust as well, like samrat said.

"achha tho guru samrat ke paas gunjan bhushan ka gusse ka kya solution hain?"

"ab kyun gussa hain wo?"

"kyun ki maine kaam chod diya aur kuch aur karne ki soch nahin rahaan hoon."

"easy solution. Kuch kaam dhoondo."

and both smiled.

MN House

front room. Gunjan sitting next to nupur, whos resting with her head on the arm rest of the sofa.

"kaisi ho di?"

"gunjan tu jab se aayi hain, tabse sau baar pooch chuki hain. Main teek hoon." she sniffed, wiped her nose with a tissue and continued," mujhe bas sardi hui hain."

"main tumhaari sardi ki baat nahin kar rahi hoon."

"matlab?" nupur.

" Wo ashwini ne kahaaan ki tum kuch ...aunty ke saamne poochna nahin chahthi thi."

"kya? Achha wo? Yeh ashwini bhi na! Main so rahi thi books ke saamne. Shayad kuch bura sapna dekh liya aur bas..."

the guys entered by then but stopped on seeing gunjan talking seriously.

"di , tum logon ko mujhpe yakeen kyun nahin hain? Jiju ne mujhe kuch bhi nahin bataya aur samrat bhi. Tumhaari baatein mujhe kya kisi aur se pata chalna chahiye."

"gunjan, tu kya ...? sach mein pata nahin gunjan. Mujhe kuch yaad nahin chillane ki.mayank ne mujse kahaan main chillayi bas."

"kyun di!? Main kitni pareshaan ho gayi . Ashwini aur rohan ne kahaan ki tum kuch ...di tumhe ho kya gaya hain?r? Bachpan se maine tumhe kabhi bure sapne ke liiye chillathe nahin dekha hain. Aajkal tum apne hi khayaalon mein, apne hi duniya mein kho jaathi ho. Pehle kitna hasthi rehthi thi ab...hasthi rehne ki acting karthi ho...mujhe tho kabhi kabhi lagtha hain ki tum hamaare saath ho hi nahin "

nupur s eyes were filling up . Mayank moved in but samrat held him back.gunjan looked at nupur searchingly. She knew she had exaggerated but ...something was wrong somewhere!when nupur couldnt answer, she took a deep breath and continued vehemently,

"yeh sab us dhruv ke wajah se hain...

hi thanks for reading, replying and liking.

i know that we generally love seeing MN together but even in the serial i felt it unfair that all that gunjan did was talk about samrat once nupur got back...the kind of bond the two sisters had, it seemed almost unfair to them.so there it is...

hope this wasnt too disappointing .

Feeling bad for them.. hope they'll be able to solve the conflict..
