Noonish
They get out of a meeting and are walking the hallway. Prayag, Anuj Sabina, Trishala Aakriti Shaan and a few others walk towards their cubes. Saurabh stops Shaan and Sabina to ask a couple questions. Trishanala pauses to supplying extra info. The group some how comes to a stop.
Saurabh: Are we on for the site visit at 5?
Shaan: Yep!
Saurabh looks at Sabina "I think so" she says smiling
Saurabh: I didnt know you were a religious man (points to Shaan's fading teeka)
Shaan: i didnt either (smiles)
Saurabh: Shud I cancel our lunch plans now that you must be full (from eating all the prashad)
Shaan: I did the pooja, but did not eat any.
Khanak is furious "REALLY?" she fumes
Shaan: Yep! I am that kinda guy! I do the work but dont expect rewards
Sabina is hugely amused she laughs out loud
Trishala: That is so adorable! (gushes)
Khanak thinks "You fool, he ate a plate full of stuff at 9:15 this morning, I shud have taken pictures" "Ughhh! he makes me so mad!"
Saurabh: I am shocked Gujral!
Shaan: Thanks
Saurabh: You do realize this makes you super desirable to both female groups dont you? The ones that are hip and modern must love your style the traditional ones are floored by your spiritual pursuits.
He looks at his wife, she does too " Does it?"
Sabina (gushy) absolutely
the woman from who he wants an answer is livid...
Sabina: Khanak and I have a 2 PM after that we can review everything and get going?
Saurabh: sounds like a plan
He turns towards Khanak: You are awfully quiet...
Khanak: hi!
Sabina: Busy morning (defensive)
Saurabh: I bet!
Khanak: Am I needed at the site?
Saurabh: you are needed everywhere (smiles)
khanak (touching her collar) Honored...
Saurabh: Do have too many things on your plate?
Khanak: I am fine... Just need to get caught up...
Sabina: I am going to wrap up block A with her today then we can get started on the rest?
Saurabh: I am looking forward to seeing your work Khanak. Heard a lot of great things from ram
Khanak embarrassed "Thank you!"
Saurabh: You are quiet but you pack a punch in your work!
She looks up at her husband, warm color spreads over her face
Sabina: Thanks Saurabh, tell that to our Ajmera partner. He doesnt seem very impressed (playfully)
Saurabh: Are you kidding me?
Turns towards Shaan,
Shaan: Sorry? (hes listened to the conversation yet pretends to have missed it)
Saurabh: You have doubts about the people we employ?
Shaan: Not all... some! (looking straight at his wife)

Citibank Cafeteria 2 ish, Swati and Ira and Khanak are waiting for the elevator ride up, she can see him approach the elevator also
Khanak: I miss Mumbai
Swati: Tum Dandiya karti thi?
Khanak: ahmedebad mein har roz all days of Navratri (savoring)
Ira: Mumbai mein?
Khanak: 3 or 4 nites...
Swati: Yahan?
Khanak: Aaj main ja rahi hoon
Swati: Yaha kahan?
Khanak: Greater Kailash Gujju Samaj (a little louder than usual, knowing he is within ear shot)
Ira: Cool yaar, kitne baje?
Khanak: Kaam ke baad, I am not going to the site (giggles)
The elevator arrives they get to the 11th...
They giggle and gush about what to wear and what not at dandiya, Ira wants to go but cant as she lives too far. Khanak would have invited her to stay over if she lived in Vasant Kunj, but now that she is incognito she cant
Khanak gets to her cube, hits the space key
Her chat bar at the bottom is glowing with 6 impatient people. Her heart skips a beat at the S Gujral glow
Clicks on it involuntarily
Shaan: So were you asking me or telling me?
Khanak: (she knows EXACTLY what he is talking about) Kya?
Shaan: The convo in teh elevator Khanak (impatient)
Khanak: DLF's plan to paint the windows green?
Shaan: Enjoying urself?
Pause
Shaan: Are you going to Dandiya?
Khanak: Hmmm
Shaan: Kiske saath?
Khanak: Kyon?
Pause
Shaan: Atharv?
Khanak: I am late for my 2 O Clock
Shaan: Are you going by urself?
Khanak: You are my room mate. I dont have to answer that
Ignoring that poke
Shaan: Have you ever attended any in Delhi before?
Khanak: Nahi...
Shaan: Great!
Pause
Khanak: I want to go...
Pause
Khanak: its a Gujarati tradition I want to follow it...
Shaan: I really cannot have a knock out round with you right now...
Khanak: You dont have to... I am going...
Shaan: With a date?
Khanak: I will find one there...
Shaan: Good luck! Dont bring him home (blistering)
Khanak: I wont... I like to have the house to myself when I bring home a date...
Shaan:Dont count on it! (curt)
