Her phone rings, she wakes up startled, she looks at the number, she knows who it is...
Khanak: Hmmm?
shaan: i am outside... can you open the door (completely normal tone)
Khanak: Abhi?
Shaan: Haan abhi (patient)
She springs up from bed in shock, terrified... she has no idea why he is here, wonders if Dadi sent him

She goes to the divan and sits down, outwardly calm...
Gets up, turns on the kitchen light and gets him water...

She is quiet and withdrawn, her eyes are puffy as if she has cried a lot...
Shaan: enjoying your freedom so much?
Khanak: If thats how you see it
Shaan: I have promised myself I wont let us come to blows... (cold)
Khanak: I have no such expectations of myself (bitter)
Shaan: Did you say you would sue him for unlwaful ouster?
Khanak looks at him shocked, some things are so simple for the wealthy she thinks...
Khanak: I cant afford a lawsuit... I cant (shakes her head)

Shaan: Ive spoken to a moving company, get what ever you need in the morning, we are getting out of here...
Khanak is horrified, her heart beat intensifies... "WHERE?"
Shaan: Vasant Vihar (blunt)
Khanak: I CANT... I cant... (chokes on a lump in her throat)
Shaan: You see it as a game? Feels like having lost? (rubs it in)
Khanak: I dont want to move in with you...
Shaan: Dont worry, you are not... not in my bed... (disgusted)
She is apalled
Shaan: You can pay for food... you can pay for room and board if it hurts your pride so much...
She looks at him stunned
Khanak: Room mate? (shocked)
Shaan: If thats what you want to call it...
Khanak: That is crazy...
Shaan: I have to make weekly trips to Mumbai. I will hardly be home
Khanak: You were hardly home (anyway)
Shaan: Lets not start digging up dirt (sarcastic)
Khanak: I cant go live with you
Shaan: i spoke with your landlord
Shaan: Wont be too difficult, we can each live our lives... you arent allowed to bring male guests I wont bring females
There is a lengthy painful pause as she understands the implication...
Shaan: i wont lay a finger on you, Khanak "Mistry" (biting, cold)
Khanak: I dont care for intimacy...
they stare at each other like they would claw each other's eyes out...
Shaan continues " Ive promised Gupta you will vacate in a week and as a reward have also promised to drag his sorry ass through the courts for the slander" 😡😡(furious)
She looks at him stupified... rage, sadness, irritation that he interefered, all bubble up simultaneously and egg her towards yet another showdown...
